Do they want to get right back to pitching in games like nothing happened?

Here are some tips we provide all of our baseball players, especially pitchers, on how to SAFELY return to throwing and game competition after an arm injury.

All too often, I see baseball players frustrated that they can’t pitch or play the field without shoulder pain.

One of the more common issues I see in baseball players of all levels is Shoulder “Impingement”. I put quotes around “impingement” because it has just turned into this broad term that is given to any baseball player with shoulder pain. However, the thrower’s shoulder is one of the MOST complex joints and needs to be treated different from any other athlete.

Here are some key notes regarding shoulder impingement and how to tell if you are suffering from it.

If you aren’t able to throw without arm pain, it is crucial that you be evaluated by a Baseball Rehabilitation Specialist that determines the severity of your injury AND gives you an individualized plan that identifies & targets the ROOT CAUSE of your pain.

DM “Healthy” if you are ready to take the next step towards throwing pain-free.

At Lewis PTSR, we work 1-on-1 with our patients to identify the root cause of why they have experienced pain and dysfunction for so many years.

No techs, aids or assistants. You ONLY work with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

DM “READY” if you want to take the next step in not only getting out of pain and achieving your life, fitness or sport goals?

Whether you are a baseball player, Crossfit athlete or active adult, we work with hand-in-hand YOU to get out of pain and achieve your goals.

If you’re tired of being seen at the same time as 3-4 other patients, only working with a PT for 10-15 minutes then passed off to an aide, and doing the same exercises at your session that you do at home, DM us “TIRED” to see how you can achieve your goals through individualized, 1-on-1 care.

With the season officially underway, it is common to start seeing an increase in shoulder and elbow injuries for pitchers of all levels, ranging from Youth to Professional.

At Lewis PTSR, we pride ourselves in providing Major-League level rehab experience AND educating pitchers on how they can achieve their full potential while staying healthy throughout the season.

Here are 5 key tips we teach on how to stay healthy throughout the season.

If you’re unable to throw with arm pain, it won’t improve by just “throwing through it”.

DM us “HELP” to learn how an individualized plan can provide you with the proper tools and guidance to get back to throwing pain-free.
