Don't know where to start when it comes to establishing a home Yoga practice? Especially in small spaces or when traveling a lot, one of the most important fascets to staying consistent at home is having a designated area to practice in.

Creating a sacred space that's intentional and personal will help you feel more motivated to practice. You can do this by:
1) Finding an area in your place that's clear/easy to clear.
2) Keep your mat and props out on a shelf, in a bin, or easy to access.
3) Place a few items that inspire inner-peace such as statues, paintings, and or plants.
4) Get incense, oils, and or candles to create an aromatic experience that's pleasant.

When I was traveling a lot in an RV, whenever we arrived to a new spot, one of the first things I'd do was go walking around to scope potential areas to practice in like covered spots or flat, grassy areas if the weather was nice. I also dedicated the only space big enough to practice in - the kitchen/"living room" as my yoga spot to practice in when it was not optimal weather to go outside. I kept my mat and props in a bag on a hook by the door so it was easy to grab. I would then rub an essential oil onto my wrists and neck and even dab some on my mat to help create the whole experience that much more relaxing and intentional.

Combining these things together will surely help you to stay persistent in your at home practice. If you'd like to learn more about how to keep your personal yoga practice steady then leave a comment or send me a DM.

Sunlight is not only essential for your physical health but for your emotional wellbeing, as well.

When we're depressed or anxious, we tend to want to stay inside with the curtains closed but that only promotes more of those feelings. It's important to acknowledge and meet your emotions where they're at but then work to shift that energy for we cannot think of a solution to our problems while in the same headspace that created them.

So go out, get some sun, soak the rays into every pore of your being, find Inspiration, and ride the feel-good wave to make positive and lasting change in your life.

We all are made up of different personalities compiling into one being. There are many facets that go into who we are and it's important to honor and accept those parts of you.

My whole life I've dressed and listened to music that suited my mood - like jersey dress fits to punk rock. I dabble in so many different hobbies - like graphic design, painting, videography, photography, yoga, aerial yoga, and so much more.

So be you. Whoever that is whenever that is.

The science of smiling. Did you know?? The mere act of smiling reduces blood pressure, lowers stress hormones, and boosts your mood; a British study even found that one smile generates the same level of brain stimulation as up to 2,000 bars of chocolate.

Not only is it good for ourselves but how many times have you been having a bad day and a smile from a loved or stranger helped to turn your day around? When we smile at someone we're saying, "I see you, I acknowledge you, and I love you".

I personally try to smile and ask how people's days are going ESPECIALLY if they appear to be in a bad mood. Returning anger/coldness with more anger/coldness only perpetuates and increases those feelings. It's important to take a step back and realize the times you were personally angry/cold was because you were probably going through something difficult in your life then extend that empathy towards others. You never know what someone is going through or who's battling depression. Just one smile can change a person's whole day and it also helps you to feel better, too! So go spread smiles and kindness ESPECIALLY to the ones who aren't. πŸ₯°πŸ™ŒπŸ’›βœ¨
