Welcome to some simple song singing - both at home and outdoors. I am not a singer - just a person who sings. Folk songs are a vital part of our history and heritage. There are several channels that promote untypical German folk music that was more imposed on people than actually flowing from their hearts. I try to balance that a bit with what I sing here. Like many other cultures, the cultures (yes, plural) of Germany are very much endangered. Not from outside, but from generations that no longer valued them and did not pass them on, beginning with the industrialisation. So younger people don´t even know any authentic German folk songs or other parts of traditional culture. But folk songs speak of the everyday experiences of regular people like you and me. They tell the history of the real people. We matter. Please know that I value all cultures equally.
