You see, most people will set fancy goals.
Creative strategies. Innovative ways.โฆ just to realise that it didnโt work out at the end of the year.
Why?
Because they forget the fundamentals that are necessary for success.
They get too caught up with the โNEWโ stuff...and good luck with that lol.
Gets you a dopamine hit but wonโt get you the success.
Here are some of the boring success fundamentals in this business:
> 2 - 3 hours of prospecting daily
> Daily conversations with people โ New, old prospects & clients
> Building relationships
> Finding problems to solve
> Exercising, eating and sleeping right
> Constant (re)investing in your skillsets
> Showing up for coaching calls
> Visualising your goal everyday
> Calendar is filled with 2 to 3 appointments daily โ Social, opening, closing, servicing
If you just do the boring stuff, you will get the exciting success.
Most people equate the excitement of success with the work itself.
People at the top, your MDRT, COT, TOT, $1m/year income peopleโฆ
They do not NOT do the fundamentals.
They do it better and at greater volume than you can ever imagine.
Remember, success is exciting. But the work to success is boring.
The goal is to be ok with boring.
This is how you win.
because most people canโt stand boredom.

8/11 done?
Look, we all know that setting up a daily routine is hard.
Conducting that routine when youโre overseasโฆ.
Even harder.
Because your environment changes
And thatโs where your inner strength and resilience of who you are plays a big part.
11 days in Japan.
8 days I worked out.
And about 15k steps daily
I hate walking around window shopping (whatโs the point if you canโt buy it?)
But I look at it as an opportunity to clocking more steps.
I used to fail and fuck my routines when Iโm overseasโฆ with a mindset of โthis is my holidays Iโll go back to my routine when Iโm back in Singaporeโ.
WRONG MINDSET.
Itโs the same as saying Iโm Halal in Singapore but itโs ok to be non halal the moment Iโm overseas.
Or that I believe that Iโm a man but when Iโm overseas, itโs ok to dress like a woman, be a woman and head to female toilets.
Iโm not saying itโs wrong to have fun or let loose.
Life is not about being an absolute saint.
You got to enjoy too (like I had a couple of sakae and desserts when Iโm in Japan)
Itโs just a way of thinking I reflected and developed a standards for myself.
And when you operate from within, you are less likely to be influenced by your environmentโฆ.
Especially if you treat your routines like how you subscribe to your religion.

Hey Financial Advisors & Leaders,
Do you want to have first and immediate access to the lessons, ideas and observations that has helped hundreds of advisors get inspired, change their way of thinking and make a lot more money every single year?
This will essentially help you in your journey to be Wealthy while being Happy, Purposeful & Authentic (WHAP)
If this even remotely interests you, then read on.
Iโve launched a telegram channel where I will document first hand every single dayโฆ.
โฆ all the lessons and experiences that Iโve learned (and still learning) from coaching Financial Advisors and running a 7 - figure business at 28 years old.
Some of these lessons would include:
- Latest observations in the financial advisory space from talking to advisors on the ground (almost a 1000 as of now)
- Lessons I learned from my coaches that I invested over $250k +
- Mental models that will teach you to make the right decisions
- Sales frameworks and systems (after generating > 7 figures in sales)
- My personal experiences in life that might inspire you
- Etc
Itโs essentially my 2 cents on this industry and my life lessons on how to be WHAP.
Think of it as a new โtwitterโ.
Iโll just be โtweetingโ all day when I find any lessons or thoughts useful for you.
Unfiltered and uncensored.
Private behind the scenes.
Raw.
If you want a โnewsfeedโ where you get fed with content by someone who has been through the trenches, years of experience in the FA space and on his way to make a greater impact to help FA make more money while being Happy, authentic and purposefulโฆ then this is for you.
=================
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
3 reasons.
1. I want to create more value and provide my contributions for free to the advisory space and community as a whole. Itโs my own way of reinforcing my purpose and drive. I desire to live a life a lot more fully because while earning money is always a good objective, it doesnโt light me up as much after a certain level. But this does.
2. If you like the content, I can elaborate on that particular โtweetโ and repurpose it to other platforms.
3. If youโd like the things I SAY, then maybe youโd like the things we DO in our mastermind and thereโs a chance that you might want to work closer together with us :)
If you want dibs on thisโฆ
Just comment โtwo centsโ below
and Iโll send over the invite.
- Ben

โ
I used to be skinny when I was really young. โ
โ
And then fat when I was in primary school to secondary school. โ
โ
President of TAF Club, thatโs what Iโm known for. โ
โ
Decided I had enough, and started to get fitter in junior college. โ
โ
And in my early 20s, I was possibly in the best shape of my life. โ
โ
But I got complacent. I fell into the trap of believing that my body could maintain itself with all kinds of junk food.โ
โ
As an advisor back then, my appointments revolves all around coffee places... and ๆตทๅบๆ.โ
โ
It got worse when I started out on my coaching business.
โ
With all the stress and responsibilities of moving out of my parentsโ place, trying to find ways to earn some money... โ
โ
I made another regrettable mistake. โ
โ
I neglected my health and leave it to ruins. โ
โ
At first... I thought I will just let myself gain possibly a 5 - 7kg MAX...โ
โ
But I went from 84kg to 104kg. 20kg.
โ
All these time, I was thinking, โScrew exercising and diet. I need all the time I have to work and earn money. I can get my body back later when I have more moneyโ. โ
โ
It was the stupidest thinking I EVER HAD.โ
โ
I bear the severe consequences of the increased weight -- brain fog, low self -esteem, joint pain, bad skin and lethargy. โ
โ
I pant like mad dog after climbing a flight of stairsโ
โ
It was really painful both physically and emotionally. โ
โ
Thankfully, I kept my promise to myself and investing the money Iโve earned in gym, weights and an amazing health coach. โ
โ
But the irony though --
A healthy person wants a thousand different things. A sick person only wants one. โ
โ
Health is the crown that only the sick can see. โ
โ
Donโt make bad trades. Some trades are not reversible (thankfully this time it is). โ
โ
That said, time to build back not only an amazing physique BUT becoming a person that is wiser and grounded. โ
โ
P.S. Make a guess how much weight I lost in the photo on the right?

Everybody wants the good but they donโt want the bad. โ
โ
After speaking and coaching nearly a thousand advisorsโฆ.
How successful an advisor will be is largely tied to how much are they willing to pay the price. โ
โ
The price includes: Time away from family, opportunity costs, dealing with rejections, managing emotions, income fluctuation, not knowing where your next prospect is going to come from, and much more. โ
โ
Everybody wants great income, time flexibility, good food, awards, incentive trips and all the other great perks of being in the insurance industry but everything comes with a PRICE.โ
โ
That time flexibility and freedom that you are enjoying? โ
โ
Itโs not free. โ
โ
You are paying for it. โ
โ
The moment we accept that:โ
1. We acknowledge that thereโs a price to payโ
2. We identify whatโs the โpriceโ that we want to payโ
3. We are willing and committed to paying that priceโ
โ
Thatโs where we can put our heads down, put in the work and strive to acquire the success we deserve.

If the WHY isnโt strong, the WHAT changes easily.
Finding the right reason is crucial in the work that we do. Sometimes when we work relentlessly for reasons such as external validation or that $800,000 Porscheโฆ
And we go through so much pain โ long hours, sacrifices, etcโฆ
The question becomes whether is the price worth paying.
Back to the fundamentals.

Hi, my name is Ben from Singapore.
I joined the advisory space when I was 22.
I had my success and managed a team of 10, taking back nearly half a million by the age of 24โฆ all while studying for my accounting degree.
Due to misalignments with my past environments, I left the industry, dropped out of university in my 4th year and right now Iโm on a journey to build the largest sales training business for Financial Advisors.
I have created this channel because I hope that the lessons and scars I've learned on this journey would be helpful for any Financial Advisors and Agency Leaders wanting to grow their business.
Enjoy!
