세계로 향하는 젊은 음악인의 등용문

1975년 중앙일보 창간 10주년을 기념하여 제정된 중앙음악콩쿠르는 2024년 50회를 맞이하며 대회 권위와 참가자 규모, 입상자 수준에서 명실공히 대한민국 최고의 음악콩쿠르로 확고히 자리매김하고 있습니다.
피아노, 바이올린, 첼로, 작곡, 성악의 5개 부문으로 시작한 중앙음악콩쿠르는 1989년부터 성악 남자와 여자 부문을 분리하여 개최하였으며, 2001년부터 클라리넷과 플루트를 격년제로 시행해오고 있습니다.
언론사로서 문화예술 발전에 기여하고자 하는 사명과 책임감으로 공정한 심사와 운영을 최우선으로 하고 있으며, 대한민국과 세계 음악계를 이끄는 중진 연주자와 교수들을 다수 배출 하였습니다.

Joong Ang Music Concours is the "Living History of Korean Classical Music"
Established in 1975 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the JoongAng Ilbo, the Joongang Music Competition celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024. It is firmly established as the best music competition in terms of authority, number of participants, and level of prize winners.
JoongAng Music Competition, which started with five categories of piano, violin, cello, composition, and vocal music, has been held since 1989 with separate male and female vocal divisions, and has been held biennially since 2001 for clarinet and flute.
