this is so stupid 😭
i know the reason for this is because of the one-star reviews having to do with the lgbt content added. but the one star reviews aren’t even disrespectful. it’s basically just saying that they’re disappointed that Shannon caved to the pressure, especially after she said that she wouldn’t add that stuff. there’s nobody screaming raging and calling the author names.
even though it was just a little, like a mention of a waitress’s wife, it’s really unnecessary especially in a MIDDLE GRADE book intended for ages 9-12. it didnt fit into the plot— the only reason Shannon added it was probably because her publishers/fans pressured her to.
