The last supermoon of the year! Here's the beautiful Sturgeon Moon. A supermoon occurs when the moon is within 90% of its closest approach to Earth. It appears as much as 30% brighter and 14% larger than usual. This time, the full moon coincided with the peak of the best meteor shower of the year, but in most places, the brightness of the moon outshined everything else, including here. But at least we saw the moon 🌚
