Entering into its 34th year, the State Farm Bayou Classic is considered to be the "grand-daddy" of black college sporting events. It is a Thanksgiving holiday weekend celebration of tradition and pageantry. More than 200,000 visitors travel to New Orleans to shop, dine and enjoy the nightlife during this festive weekend. Sell-out crowds of 70,000 plus come to the Superdome to watch the Southern University Jaguars take on the Grambling State University Tigers. The game is televised live on NBC Sports.
