For centuries, LGBTQ+ people have lived a hidden history. Discrimination, shame and fear meant their secret stories went untold. They were imprisoned, forced to live double lives, shamed by their communities. Their papers were burned and their stories were buried.

At the Gay Aristo we are putting right this historic wrong. The stories of our LGBTQ+ ancestors deserve to be told. Our heritage of our community needs to be restored. Because we need these stories today.

Yes there will be pain, but there are so many moments of hope and affection, of rescue and redemption. All these love stories, waiting to be told.

Join us as we explore the lives of our LGBTQ+ ancestors. We will also look at other historic people, royalty and historic houses. We'll meet Emperors and Queens, artists and poets, miners and sailors, women who made their own way, and trans heroes who changed their world, and changed ours along the way.
