Doug Duffey was inducted into the "Louisiana Hall of Fame" in April, 2001, into "the Blues Hall of Fame" in 2009. 2015 won 3 NELA Music Awards [best blues, best male vocalist, entertainer of the year]; in 2016 Louisiana Soul Revival featuring Doug Duffey* won “best in blues”. Doug Duffey and BADD "Play The Blues" charted @ #1 in 2020.
He has written songs for and/or recorded with Marcia Ball, George Clinton, Funkadelic, Bernie Worrell, Eddie Hazel, Rare Earth, Nicky Hopkins, Beverly Jo Scott, Zakiya Hooker, Jerry Beach, Anders Osborne [to name a few], performed on recordings with Keith Richards, Kathi McDonald, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, David Byrne, Bootsy Collins, Steve Jordan, Herbie Hancock, and many more. He is a P-Funk alumnus.
