Giant wall of health-related text! I'm letting you know ahead of time, so if you just needed a cat picture, you can peace out!
So, I kind of cracked my neck a little from stretching, right? Well, something cracked louder than usual, and now my neck & shoulder hurt more :) The clinic won't give me any steroid anti-inflammatory until the end of the month, but I'm concerned I'm going to burn out my poor liver, running ibuprofen and naproxen all the time. They gave me a bottle of oxycontin just for walking in the door, but won't give me an anti-inflammatory. Go figure. The oxycontin wouldn't even help, so I'm going to give the full bottle back at my next visit :)
Frustratingly, sitting at my desk makes my spine hurt like a bastard. I get, like, so many minutes of use, and then I have to move :) Actually, basically every chair we have has a timer associated with it. Mildly annoying.
This is also dictating my game uploads, as you've undoubtedly noticed. I'm going to stick with Alan Wake for a bit, because it requires a *lot* less time at my desk than Rimworld. I'm already really sad that I missed the rest of the Christmas stuff :/

Guess who has a herniated disk in their C6-C7 segment in their neck! ...well, it's me, phrased like that :) There are only two chairs in the house that I can sit upon, and my desk, where I live, is not one of them. Exciting neck scans to follow, when I can use my computer!

Almost there! Now it just feels like my fingers are really cold; my neck & shoulder pain is mostly gone. I'm looking forward to using the pads of my fingers tomorrow :) I wouldn't recommend nerve pinches, or the like. Anyway, while spooling back up, in a moment of horror, I found myself falling endlessly through a black expanse of insanity and despair, screaming in spider language with no one to hear; or, I had to watch one of my own episodes. I don't know how you folks do it, video after video. I present to you, "Angry Noms" and "Megablep".

As I promptly vanish again. Tweaked something in my neck a few days ago, OK, whatever, a couple of days and things are fine, although I usually have to come up with a better story than "I sat down". But, I was able to get this one root canal and final filling in my tooth (top right canine, #11, IIRC), and I can *eat again* !! I've had a temp filling in there for 6 months and I couldn't, like, bite or chew on that side of my mouth, but no longer! I promptly went and got a sub sandwich; it wasn't very good, but that's not the point! I've had to do stupid things like cut sandwiches into narrower strips so I can just use my right teeth and crap like that for so long. Also, my soft, squishy teeth are a haven for bacteria, I guess, but, oh well.
Then, I did something *really* bad to my neck. It hurts like a bastard, I've got some pain down my right arm, and my thumb and first 2 fingers are numb, until I try to use them. It's not like I need my dominant hand for anything, right? :) So, still pounding down the nsaids, if it's not notably better tomorrow, I'll head back to the doc and they'll do some imaging. Whee! So, here's a broken cat. Just before I took the picture she unwound a bit; she has a weird habit of sleeping with her upper and lower body rotated completely 180 degrees from each other, with legs sticking off of each side. She doesn't even *pretend* to have bones.

I'm not dead yet :/ If so, I'm *certainly* not going to haunt the internet. Have you *been* there?! Starting videos back up as we speak. Wild money stress here, which makes me just want to hide under the covers, you know? This cat, though. This cat gets me.

Short cat blog: things went well overnight :) Her sister seems to think that she's a Pod Person, but is very slowly calming down. Very little sleep. It also crossed my mind I never actually mentioned what was up with her! She only has one kidney, so when she was spayed as a kitten, they couldn't find anything that might have been an ovary. Well, trust me, she does :) It's actually a mass of ovarian tissue in kind of a weird place, and the "regular" surgeons weren't comfortable doing the operation, so we had to go to a specialist, which meant a 2 month wait. But! It's over now, she's on the mend, I am exhausted but I'm planning on posting entertainment today, because damn it, I'm bored :)
