During the Second Battle of Manassas, two wounded Union soldiers from the 5th New York Infantry, Eugene P. Geer and Charles Brehm, found their way into one of the upstairs rooms of the Stone House. They carved their names into the floorboards. Brehm survived, but Geer died of his wounds. Their carved names can still be seen in the floorboards today.

Had a great time at â€Ș@addressinggettysburg‬’s “Get out of the car tour” this past weekend. Always great to learn new things and be on the battlefield. Oh
and carrying old glory was pretty dang cool as well. #gettysburg #gettysburgbattlefield #addressinggettysburg #civilwarphotography #civilwar #civilwarhistory

Two of my favorite battlefields to visit (Antietam & Chickamauga) will be honoring milestones this week. We are currently midway through our in-depth series about the Battle of Chickamauga and this week I will be releasing two videos about this bloody and chaotic battle.

The channel has seen some great growth over the last year and It’s been awhile since I’ve done a “get to know me”.

Hey everyone, I'm James.
I’m an ordinary guy, a veteran, a proud husband/father and a full time firefighter in the Nation's Oldest City. Oh and I’m also a goofball. If it can be tripped on, I’m your guy! I’ve always loved all things military history ever since i watched Gettysburg as a kid. In 2021 I created Project Past to help keep history alive and share my passion with you while doing so. Join me as we tour our nation's battlefields and little known historic sites to hopefully better understand our past. What got you hooked on history?
