I have gotten some questions regarding Kamilas 4 year doping ban. People may say im biased, but I think this is very extreme. She was a protected child, and the drug was found in december. However nothing happened until the day before her olympics? Taking 2 years to make a descision then banning her for 4? WADA has not only shown immaturity and unprofessional choices, but also have shown that they cannot make up their minds. I understand at the end of the day, the substance was found in her body and that shoulnt be ignored so easily, however a 4 year ban for a girl who was a preotected child and having adults around her fail her is a whole other level of extreme. An athlete who has broken the short and free records nultiple times wouldnt take a drug. Why the need? She was doing perfectly fine without it. It is evident that she didnt get trimatazidine on her own, and it seems very clear that she didnt consume it knowingly. As heartless as a person can be, it is impossible to perform with the guilt of having a drug in your body. Kamila is one of the sweetest people ever, and so I want people to know kamila would never cheat. Now moving on to the fact of the drug helping her. Trimatazidine is a heart medication that pumps more blood into the body, allowing you to not be tired. Kamila competes in figure skating. 4 minute program tops, and a heart medication doesnt just allow you to have ultra Cs. She has landed them way before the drug as well, and it may allow her to have more energy to train, but that wont get you very far. I am not ignoring the fact that she should be punished, i definitely think a suspension should be put in place. However i strongly disagree on a 4 year ban.
