I cracked my head pretty hard resulting in many months stuck at home with limited capabilities while I recovered. With so little to do, I took to watching the antics of the forest critters all day, even going so far as to frequently telling my husband “hush! My shows are on!” when my favorite critters were by the window.
At first, they would often scamper away if I got too close to the window, but, as the months went on…and on….and on…, they grew accustomed to me. Today, they follow me around, climb up to see me in my hammock, and land on my head.
Dale is the chipmunk with whom I have very much bonded, and Scindylott is what I call my yard.
The adventures of Dale and the critters of Scindylott have brought me a great deal of joy and healing so I am sharing their stories in case someone else could use a little bit of that joy in their day.
