👻Ghost talk
“To each has been given a manifestation of the spirit for the common good.” - 1 Corinthians 12:7
💡 What does this mean? Paul is saying that God has given all of us a display of His power, through the Holy Spirit, to lift up and edify each other. This is the way God lives and breathes through His church. This week, Pastor Matt focused on the gift of speaking in tongues. This topic will generally make people uncomfortable, but it doesn’t have to. There is beauty and purpose in praying in the Spirit.
❤️ If you are skeptical or curious to know more about this spiritual gift - we encourage you to watch or podcast the sermon from Sunday. Pastor Matt walked us through what scripture teaches, the different types of speaking in tongues, the misconceptions about it, as well as it’s purpose in the Kingdom of God. This is a great starting point to find out more, but don’t let the journey stop there - take your questions to the Father, and feel free to contact any of our leaders with your questions.
