KITES are based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and are best described as a potent cocktail of grunge-tainted indie rock - emanating nostalgia while pushing the boundaries of the genre. They are quickly building a loyal local following thanks to their undeniable authenticity, energetic performances, and incredibly photogenic bassist.
Their latest single ''Chilly Road" is inspired by the rapidly growing problem of homelessness in the North East. The song aims to help raise awareness for the hundreds of people living in our communities who do not have a place to call home. The track featured on BBC Introducing and continues to gain attention from industry leaders.
Their next single 'Innocence & Gold' is set to release on the 8th March 2024.
