Our "Back to the Land" journey began in 2011 with the purchase of some small resort cabins that were in desperate need of repair and renovation. That adventure grew to include more cabins, campsite rentals and even treehouse cabins. In 2022, after a discouraging experience with covid mandates, we decided it was time to create a much more meaningful level of Self-Sufficiency in our lives. At ages 60 and 62, we decided to purchase some raw land and document the process of returning to a simpler and more self-reliant lifestyle. This is that journey.
