Martin Buzora is an award-winning filmmaker working around the globe. He is a passionate and daring explorer whose work is a celebration of our shared humanity.
His documentary portrait "The Story of Pema" (2019) was the winner of a Canadian Society of Cinematographers award and is the first film of its kind by a Western filmmaker to come out of Tibet, and provides an exceedingly rare glimpse into a forbidden land and its people. Martin has lensed feature films and documentary series around the world from horror to romantic dramas and documentaries, and most recently won a Canadian Academy of Cinema & Television award for his cinematography work on Samuel L. Jackson's documentary series "Enslaved", which chronicled the harrowing history of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.
Martin is happiest when travelling the world with his wife Nuray to capture incredible stories of humanity's relationship to the natural world. His dream is to one day be in a room full of puppies.
