This saying means that you only believe when you see it.
However, my take is that belief creates momentum to achieve success.
If you don't believe you can succeed you don't commit to action and eventually give up.
You never get to see success.
The pessimist does not hope or believe. #Introverts are sometimes known to overthink. Overthinking increases pessimism.
The optimist hopes and believe but may not act upon their belief
The realist hopes, believes, and takes action
