Taxi Kebab is a meeting between synthesizers and drum machine, modulated guitar, amplified buzuq and darija singing. Influenced by her moroccan cultural heritage and family roots (chaâbi, gnawa, oriental music…), Lea Jiqqir (voice, buzuq, guitar) interferes with the acid arpeggios and rippling layers of Romain Henry’s synthesizers.
Revealing some disordered identities fragments, their music is a night ride through moroccan roads and landscapes into a rough and psyché sound, disoriented and disoriental.
