it's the 2nd of December! 🎉🎉🎉 happy birthday to my channel, and happy birthday @Gabsterino223 (I'm sorry, I can't seem to be able to tag you but I hope you see this!) 🎂 6 years of editing to my favourite anime paired with my subscribers' love and support means the world to me. this time I wasn't sure whether to make a celebrative video in which I showcase some amazing comments I've received like I usually do; I even thought of making the opposite kind of video - a collection of hate comments I've gotten over the years to make fun of, but honestly? I'd rather postpone that. my anniversary should only be filled with joy, and since I've been focusing so much more on art than editing lately, I decided to go for a little drawing. 🎨
pirate Yoichi? why? well, the username 'zuckarr' was born out of my desire to be seen as a sweet person. I wanted to play with the word 'sugar' and I checked some translations for it in different languages, ultimately going for the German word 'zucker' because I have a very dear friend who lives there (two actually, but only one of them is German), but it still wasn't enough. I needed to add a ring to it, a special touch, something unique to remember me by... and after some thinking, I was so mad that I couldn't find it that I uttered angry sounds that were similar to the pirate-ish exclamation 'yarr' and the light bulb over my head was finally turned on: zucker... yarr... ZUCKARR! 💡
I've been editing since 2007, and I used to have two previous channels. I closed them down when I really needed to start anew in 2015, and I've never regretted doing that. this is literally the youtube channel that I care about the most, and that helped me find a few fantastic people who never fail to make me feel appreciated and wanted. ❤️
