Odelly was born in France to French parents who have lived in north Africa. The north African culture had an essential presence in her childhood: the traditional Arab melodies in Hebrew that were sang by her father found life in her own music. From composing Pop-Jazz music from the age of 11, she changed her style in her 20s into ethnic music with modern touch of Funk, Hip Hop and Afro-beat. Today, based in Tel Aviv, Odelly is reviving ethnic songs that she would hear as a child into groovy dancing hits, and involving a new string of oriental R&B.
