This November, Erin will be celebrating 29 years with her original transplanted heart from Boston Children’s Hospital! At just 18 months old, she received her transplant on Nov. 2, 1996, changing her life forever.

Because of her donor, she’s been able to graduate from college, get married, become a mom, and make memories with her amazing kids. When you choose to be an organ donor, you’re helping a child have a chance at becoming a healthy adult, just like Erin.

Ava’s parents, Lily and Austin, are glad they sought a second opinion at Boston Children’s Hospital. The 3-year-old now has two functioning ventricles after our cardiac surgery team performed a biventricular repair on her complex condition. ā¤ļø 🩺 Her parents are grateful Ava's care team gave her a chance to be "great and amazing." šŸ’« And they're happy to see her back home in Pennsylvania, playing with her three cats 🐱 and impressing everyone with her ā€œEnergizer Bunny energy.ā€ Keep it going, Ava!

Today marks a big milestone for the reverse double-switch 1.5 ventricle repair — or as we like to call it, the Super Easton! šŸ¦øšŸ™Œ

Five years ago today, Easton became the first person in the world to undergo this innovative #biventricularrepair surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. Since then, he and his family have been busy enjoying every moment and celebrating how far the heart community has come! ā¤ļø

Now in third grade, Easton loves superheroes, hanging out with his brothers, swimming šŸŠ, reading šŸ“š, visiting theme parks šŸŽ¢, building Legos, and cheering on the UNC-Greensboro soccer team. ⚽

He’s also been a champion for #congenitalheartdefects awareness, helping support local research efforts — all while still making routine visits to Boston for follow-up care.

Happy #heartiversary, Super Easton! šŸ’«šŸ’Ŗ
