Hi everyone, I wanted to take the time to provide a quick update to the community here. Last week, I had to make the difficult decision to put my sweet baby Yuki down due to a sudden, and unexpected onset of pancreatitis. She became very sick quite quickly, so it was a surprise to me - she was just 5 years old. This has been an incredibly difficult time for me, and to say that I am absolutely heart broken, would be an understatement.
Yuki has been an integral part of this channel since the beginning, as my loving companion on beach walks, and shelling adventures. Despite the tremendous grief, and sadness that I am feeling, I am so incredibly grateful that she and I were able to share such wonderful memories together, and specifically, through her involvement in making this channel, and the presentation of this shelling content, unique.
Yuki’s beautiful personality, and unconditional love will live on in my heart, and she will forever be by my side when I find myself at the ocean. I’d like to honor Yuki, by dedicating this channel to the celebration of her life.

The first shell book I ever purchased when I was a child...
The Art of Shelling was originally published in 1995... but don't for one second think that the publication date makes this in any way outdated! The vast majority of info here is still as relevant as ever! It's because of THIS book, that I learned about some of the best spots to shell along the US east coast, and what types of shells can be found in what regions.
If you are old school shell collector, you may also know this book!
