long story short:
I tried doing BFG Dootvision, got permission from a very talented drummer to use his drum cover (check out Andrew Suarez - https://youtu.be/ziG147VT5Tg ), did the bassline and some rhythm, communicated with a very talented artist to collab the video part (see R Zapata's stuff - https://youtu.be/IqnZgCSwOsw ) and then just totally lost interest repeatedly over a few attempts spanning a few months.
I've simply moved on from it mentally, I'm focusing on my longterm career a lot more (it's going well) and settling into life in a non-English speaking country (cool and good). That leaves me with significantly less free time than I had as a university student several years ago, and I'm choosing to spend the remaining time doing other things.
I made 19 seconds of E1M1 one bored day in March 2016 (https://youtu.be/BnAEO_pbbp4 ), woke up one morning several weeks later to see that it had gained 30k+ views overnight, hurriedly finished the rest of the video and went on to make others. Suddenly getting attention on the internet was a strange experience - I made Doot E1M1 after finding and being inspired by the picture that became the backdrop on /vg/ one random night, and somehow it all happened from there.
Seeing the outpouring of support and appreciative comments on my old videos and last post made me really happy, and I'm eternally grateful that you've all taken the time out of your days to watch my dooty trumpet skull videos and even enjoyed them over the years. I didn't feel good leaving all these unfulfilled promises scattered about with zero follow-up and felt that it'd be appropriate to put some closure on the channel, so here we are - apologies for spamming your subscription notifications out of nowhere.
