This channel is a collection of non-mainstream music from around Austin, mainly in HD video and high quality audio. It consists mainly of music from of two different areas.
1. The Austin Indian Community. This includes classical, popular, and fusion music. Groups included are Gourisankar's School of Indian Percussion and Music (SIPM). Also included is the popular Indian music band Omkara, which performs mainly songs from Bollywood and South Indian movies, and some touring classical musicians.
2. The large Austin Steelband Community, under the umbrella of the Insideout Steel Band. This consists of an adult community band and a large group of dedicated students from McCallum and Bowie high schools, plus several middle schools. The full time band classes, plus Austin's penchant for eclectic music, results in a nationally prominent, highly skilled set of steelband players.
