As a kid, I worked briefly at WSOC TV in Charlotte, mostly sweeping floors. During my short-lived life as a child janitor, I came across a box of commercials that were destined for the trash. Instead of doing my job and tossing them in the dumpster, I took them home. Over the following 35 years, these commercials traveled with me to college in Georgia and California, on to Connecticut, then New York City and finally landing in the mountains of North Carolina. During their travels the tapes were stored in various attics, basements and storage units. In 2007, I had them transferred to digital files. The poor quality of the images is due to improper storage, but I think they still convey a great deal about the late 1960's and early 1970's when they were produced. I'm glad I saved them - hope you enjoy.
