New Media Rights has been providing free and nominal fee legal services to internet users, independent creatives (including YouTubers), and tech startups since 2007.
Individuals, nonprofits, and businesses can submit requests for internet, media, and intellectual property related legal services at newmediarights.org/about_us/contact_us .
We work directly with users, creators and tech startups to make sure they aren't victims of legal bullying and know their digital rights. We've also testified for copyright reform before the Copyright Office, and advocated against laws like SOPA and for things like net neutrality. We also make a ton of fun educational videos.
All educational scripts are general information written by licensed California attorneys and read by law students. This should not be considered legal advice since the facts of your specific situation can't be known. These videos often contain radical simplifications of complex legal concepts.
