This channel is a tribute to Al Bowlly and the great British big bands of that once Golden age who accompianied him, great band leaders such as Ray Noble, Roy fox, Lew Stone, Maurice Winnock, Percivel Mckay, and the Orpheans also the musicians who made up those bands, many from impoverished backgrounds such as Nat Gonella who came from islington London and became one of the greatest trumperters of that time and Lew stone who after ditching his job as a carpenters apprentice ran away to london learned the piano and played at various night clubs for as little as one penny a night. This channel aims to bring alive those days and give recognition to all those people that made such great and beautiful compositions that seem now to be completely unknown or forgotten. I don't receive any money for this I do this because I am inspired to do so. I don't like to use the word passion because I feel that word is widely over used but I guess that's exactly what it is.
