Over 110 days have passed since Hurricane Helene turned lives upside down. In that time, Iโve learned more about resilience, faith, and the unyielding spirit of community than I ever thought possible.
This journey has been paved with hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. You get muddy. You get cold. But you donโt quit. You donโt stop because the job is tough or because people might not understand why you do what you do.
You stand for what is right.....always.
You serve those who canโt help themselves, and you never lose sight of the greater mission:
to be a light in the darkest times.
These past months have reinforced what I believe leadership should look like: showing up, no matter the weather or the obstacles. True leadership is about doing the hard things when no one is watching, making decisions that serve the people, and protecting what matters most.
This is the kind of leadership I promise to bring to Mitchell County. Leadership that works alongside you, gets in the trenches with you, and stands for the values that make our community strong.
