My journey into art began unexpectedly in 2019, a turning point sparked by an accident that left me confined to a slower pace of life.
Before then, I never imagined myself as an artist. Amidst the whirlwind of a busy life, the idea of nurturing a creative side seemed unlikely.
During three months of recovery and isolating during a pandemic, I found a need for a creative outlet. It started with a simple bunny crafted from my daughter's art supplies and an obsession with online tutorials to learn the fundamentals of drawing until I found realism.
The title The Unexpected Artist is not merely a moniker; it's a testament to the astonishment shared by both myself and those closest to me.
My favorite mediums are charcoal/graphite, colored pencil, and scratchboard.
I am accepting commissions for pet and wildlife portraits.
I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions and know it is “never too late!”
