Honor Bell Foundation

We are incredibly excited and grateful to collaborate with talented community partners on developing something truly special. This project began with our former Executive Director, Michelle Mallen, and Ronnie Davis, who shared a passion for it. In her honor, that vision is now becoming a reality. Ronnie used his talents to write a tribute song about the Honor Bell and the Seven Tolls, while his team, Chase and Clark, brought it to life through video production. The Honor Bell Foundation has granted permission for the use of materials and logos for this project.

The Honor Bell Foundation pays tribute to soldiers as they are laid to rest. This final tribute is Forged with military artifacts of 12 Colorado Soldiers. Each time this bell is tolled, these soldiers lead their comrade home.
Seven tolls represent the cycle of a veteran’s life.

Toll One: The Choice to Serve - The veteran’s willingness to sacrifice their life for their country; a dedication to which few are called.

Toll Two: Camaraderie - The friendships, family, and unity that bond all service members together.

Toll Three: Patriotism - The veteran’s pride in their country, a duty to protect it, and the joy in celebrating the freedoms enshrined in our Constitution.

Toll Four: Respect - The respect given to a veteran by their community, earned by them and owed by us, for their service.

Toll Five: Dignity - The dignity with which a veteran’s community treats their fallen hero.

Toll Six: Honor - The honor that is due to a veteran when they have died, given by their fellow service members and community.

Toll Seven: The Value of Life – The Gold Raised Star - The ultimate sacrifice that the veteran has made. Whether killed in action, or after long years of quiet service, the value of a veteran cannot be adequately described by words alone.
