King Alfred (aka Alfred The Great) was the last king of Wessex (the kingdom of the West Saxons - West Sax. became Wessex). He led the resistance against the invading Vikings, settled a treaty and became the first king of the newly formed England.

Happy St Crispin's and St Crispian's day!
These were the patron saints of leather craft, shoes and the like. They are also the adopted saints of English and Welsh archers due to the Battle of Agincourt coincidentally taking place on the same date - part of the medieval trilogy of wars against France, together known as the Hundred Years' War.

As regular viewers will know, I try to upload a video every Friday at 12.00 British time. This time I have a video that's almost ready and I hope to add a final detail. It won't be up until noon tomorrow.

Apologies if you spotted my live stream attempts. The YouTube app constantly booted me out without any reason. I've restarted the phone, tried updating the firmware (phone and YouTube) and it still misbehaves.
