Unfortunately, there isn't going to be one of my annual "Goth is Not Dead" mixes for 2019. Music labels and distributors have tightened their grip when it comes to copyrighted material being put on YouTube. The automated detection system has no leniency anymore. I've never made these videos for monetary gain. They've been made solely to share contemporary, up-and-coming/underground goth artists -- helping to highlight the fact that goth is not actually dead. Despite the videos having ads that provided the artists themselves with small portions of revenue, my 2018 mix -- as well as my brand new "The New Cold Wave" mix that I released two months ago -- are both now blocked in every country (i.e., they're as good as deleted). I apologize to everyone who looked forward to the annual mixes, as well as to those who I previously promised to include in this year's Goth is Not Dead. Perhaps I'll someday move to a different platform for posting mixes -- but for now... Thank YouTube's system for ruining the fun.
