I want to clear up any confusion about the video tomorrow before it airs.
First of all, to those who don't know, I left the fandom 2 months ago. This is not me coming back, it's just me posting an old work in progress that I never made public.
Since it already had been viewed by almost 200 people--no thanks to Jess' post before it was ever even finished--I figured I might as well just post it. (And no, I will not be linking the post or posting a response to her statement, so don't bother asking.)
The video--if I had finished it--would have been a compilation of plagiarised sets, storylines, scenes, terminology, symbols and some other things as well. This is just one small sliver of what was going to be a really long video, but since Jess already made her statement before I got a chance to get much of a point across, so there was no point in finishing it. I was just so over her BS by then.
Of course, not many people saw the actual clip from the video because Jess retweeted an image of it instead of the video itself, but many people still found it. She'd obviously read the thread based on what she said, but if you ask me, she didn't want to retweet the video because it'd make her look bad. Not that it matters anyway anymore; that's just my opinion.
Jess is just going to continue plagiarising things instead of coming up with original content. There's nothing we can do about it and she's obviously content ignoring the fact that she's ruining FF for new players by spoiling them and ripping off the series.
Not to mention, she is literally the only thing that comes up in most search results for the original Aphmau now; which is accomplishing the exact opposite of her original intention of drawing more people to FFXI.
She's never going to listen. She's never going to admit it. There's nothing we can do about it but spread awareness.
So please, all I ask is that you share this around.
Spread the word and encourage people to do their research. Make sure they know exactly what kind of content they're supporting and aren't going in blind thinking it's something original.
Whether you've played Final Fantasy, want to play it, or even if you haven't: Please spread the word so that more people know what they're getting into; and so that we can avoid ruining the game for those who do want to play, or may want to play in the future.
I may consider making a video on why I left the fandom and go more in-depth as to the plagiarism, along things I've experienced both in the fandom and dealing with Jess and Jason themselves. That is of course, if that's something you guys would like to see.
I'm not planning on making a comeback or changing the channel's theme. I want this channel to stay as it is, as something for me to look back on.
Aphmau was a large part of my life for a period of time and I wouldn't be who I am without it or the people I met along the way. This experience has made me a stronger person and I believe I'll be able to take that and apply it to whatever it is that I decide to do in the future.

For those of you who don't know, Jess just announced that MyStreet S6 is aiming to return on Saturday.
The countdown stream will be starting 5 am AEST Saturday (12 pm PDT Friday) and will be running for the 24 hours leading up to the release of the episode.

Well, I am alive, I've just been busy working on the DCYS game and doing school.
Anyways, I'm making this rare appearance because today is the 4th anniversary of my channel!
It really has been such an amazing experience doing YouTube and it's something I'll always be grateful for. Thank you guys for sticking by me, even when my channel is kinda dead at this point. XD

I do apologize for the lack of videos. I've been super busy working on the game. The lack of MyStreet has kinda-sort killed my motivation and lead to a lack of video ideas as well.
There's also a big chance that my older cat may be getting put down soon. The next 24 hrs will decide whether she does or not, so I'm fairly upset over that possibility as well..
Just know that I'm not dead and videos will come eventually, just not as regularly as they were back when I was doing MMD. The kind of videos I do now take a lot more time, effort, planning and motivation.

Hey guys! This channel is essentially just an archive of my time in the Aphmau fandom.
I officially left the fandom in August 2019, and unfortunately that meant abandoning this channel along with it. That being said, there's still plenty to watch here and I hope you enjoy it!
