No, synthesizers use a different type of software than generative AI. I use those because I can’t afford instruments or high-quality recording equipment, and using characters like Miku or Teto (whose voices were based on people who consented and were compensated) is different from using generative AI to imitate the voices of musicians who did not consent and were not compensated.
