in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
I’m cranking out data for you! You can now find the start of the lab tour (photos + explanations) with no ads, on qr.net/openlabproject, and I made my youtube subscriptions public.

Need help! Seeking recommendation for rheostat or pot device suitable for setup shown. Fan control is unsuitable. Details in comments.

I love tools. Still, it took me 9 years to understand that communication is the most powerful tool. I was being silly when I took this photo but it’s not so silly. Holding the phone in the pic was no mistake.

As engineers we must be extremely humble, to continue gaining value. I lend my attention to my friend Aila who’s only in Grade 5, as she learns robots. Her father teaches me about his latest Fig Tree experiment, to make a forest of 60 fig types. His friend Yeda shows me her latest textbook (co-authored) in animal reproduction. If i didn’t make time to interact with Aila, I’d miss all this learning. (and that was just one common Sunday dinner party). Cheers Andre & Family!

Dear Tech Nerds: Among society, you are the most fit to give opinions about tech, but also the least-heard voices. If someone gave you a microphone and an audience, **which thing** would stop you from sharing your opinion about broad matters? (your experiences in jobs, communication in tech, your high school curriculums, the challenges of getting hired, the gaps from college to real world, safety situations, tools & products, fairness of a policy, tax-funded infrastructure... or consider if you ever made a long comment on one of my videos◄that topic)

Does anyone want to have a music party? It seems if you build things, you become the guy who “will find something to do with it.” Then people give things to you. Of course I will experiment… in due time.

To build new things, we need new workspaces. each photo embeds a few decisions based on logic instead of tradition. I will post 100+ of these, with captions, in the openLab github page. a starting point for modern multidisciplinary builds. Give me 4-8 weeks please.

This will double the usefulness of the iPad in the SCUTTLE lab. We needed this solution for years. In this season, I paused my internships and hiring so I can implement processes that became evidenced in the last season. Sometimes I think I’ve let people down by pausing interactions, but that’s folly. I’m enhancing the long-term.

Since you beautiful people subscribed in the tens of thousands this year, i’ve had reasons to unbox & organize the most popular robotics actuators for videos! we will soon hit the big boy toys.
this linear actuator is one of the most commonly misused devices in robotics. the sitch: students use these to constrain motion and drive motion. the gap: they should be only used to drive motion.
i’ll teach methods to constrain the motion and gain the full value of these actuators, or replace it when a cheaper device would do better in a design.

Dear designers: A design includes a device and instructions. Redesigning an instruction can produce a brand new result. Today I redesigned a soldering fume extractor and now it’s an onion fume extractor. Works great! 👍😌🧅
Have you made any similar designs?
