I am currently making a video to introduce 12 Japanese superstitions that I grew up with. I am doing the final check, but I just realised that most of the superstitions in the video are quite grim... I guess that's the nature of superstitions- they are usually fear-oriented 😂 If you are into weird and strange things, here's one! It will go live sometime today 😊

I have just created a note called 'Uncover the Magic of Rakugo: A Beginner’s Guide to Japanese Comic Storytelling' that accompanies with a video called 'Introduction to Rakugo' that I posted a while ago.
I hope this article will help you deepen your understanding of rakugo! Please tell me what you think!

During my recent trip to Japan, I got to perform rakugo in Asakusa three times with the English Rakugo Association. We didn't take many photos, but here's one of them. The audience was small-ish in size but very warm people whom we loved to perform to. Thank you so much for joining us!
I just realised that some people have actually been checking out this page, so I will try to post things here regularly-hopefully things that I don't post elsewhere on other platforms. Thank you so much for your continued support!
P.S. I think I am allowed to post the group photo online, but if any of you in the photo wants me to remove it, please let me know!

Hi all,
Thank you so much for visiting my YouTube channel!
I recently discovered this 'Community' page, and I would like to start utilising it to connect with fans/ viewers so that we can improve this channel together!
My name is Kanariya Eishi (鹿鳴家英志), and I am the only rakugo performer permanently based in New Zealand. I began my rakugo practice in 1995 when I was at university in Japan. I then became a disciple of my master, Kanariya Eiraku (鹿鳴家英楽), in 2016 and joined the English Rakugo Association in 2021 as a Special Member of the association.
On this channel, I will be introducing about rakugo, Japanese culture/ language, and anything else that I find intriguing! Please feel free to leave your comments to improve this channel. Also, make sure to follow my channel if you still haven't 😊
Thank you very much! どうもありがとうございます!

This channel introduces rakugo, the Japanese traditional art of comedy storytelling, to the world. I am Hiroshi, and my rakugo stage name is Kanariya Eishi (鹿鳴家英志). I am based in Auckland, New Zealand, and promote this art through "English Rakugo NZ" (www.rakugonz.com). At this stage, I am the only rakugo performer permanently based in New Zealand.
