This channel introduces rakugo, the Japanese traditional art of comedy storytelling, to the world. I am Hiroshi, and my rakugo stage name is Kanariya Eishi (鹿鳴家英志). I am based in Auckland, New Zealand, and promote this art through "English Rakugo NZ" (www.rakugonz.com). At this stage, I am the only rakugo performer permanently based in New Zealand.
