以「創作，展演，推廣舞蹈及其他藝文活動，促進文化發展與國際交流」為宗旨的「雲門文化藝術基金會」是民間的非營利事業機構，組織架構包括1973年成立的「雲門舞集」、1999年成立的「雲門2」(2019 年 8 月起暫停)，以及2015年開幕的淡水「雲門劇場」。

除了長年推動國內外展演，豐厚台灣與全球文化生活，雲門基金會也主持「創計畫」獎助年輕編舞家於雲門劇場創作排練，以及「流浪者計畫」支持年輕人出國擴展視野，更致力推動淡水社區的藝術教育與居民藝文活動。

The Cloud Gate Culture and Arts Foundation is a private non-profit organization, with a mission to create and perform dance, to promote cultural activities, and to facilitate cultural development and cross-cultural exchange. It operates the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan founded in 1973, the Cloud Gate 2 founded in 1999 (restructured to become one Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan in 2019) and the Cloud Gate Theater in Tamsui which opened in 2015.
