Listening to ‘Voyager’ in this new #Sony 360 format blew my mind. You get this incredible sense of three dimensions, it’s equivalent to the jump from mono to stereo. Check it out here: cutt.ly/music_com_d_PaulEpworth #360RA

Today marks the release of my debut “solo” album Voyager.
From inception to completion has taken 5 years.
Solo is a strange word to use when I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with some truly incredible people to make this music a reality.

Solo is correct though, in the context of what I’ve learnt in the process of making this record. There is a journey each of us takes through anything we do in our lives that is singular and we experience on our own. Along my voyage through making this record, I encountered life and death in many forms. I discovered more about myself, about music and about what makes us human than I knew possible. Somehow i knew deep inside that this record needed to be made, both for myself and for others, but I didn’t really have the confidence or believe I would even finish it, let alone release it.
The universe had other plans.
It’s also Solo as in Hans, because I delivered it to the label on international Star Wars day (#maythe4thbewithyou) which coincidentally was my father’s birthday. He would have been 75 that day had he not left this planet for the next lifetime on the day I finished recording.
There is unquestionably a cyclical nature to life which is inescapable.
However, the Vedas amongst many ancient texts, teach us that each time we die in this life, we return in other lives at a higher level of awareness. We will all level up if we allow ourselves in this lifetime.

This album is about space, but more so about humanity, about our consciousness, about psychedelic experience, about unity and love and all the struggles those elemental challenges create. It’s also about the hope that we can shape a better future...

I hope you enjoy the experience of hearing some of the love and thought that went into this body of work.
It’s a journey. It was my journey but now it’s yours.
We are all, each and every one of us, a Voyager.
