Hot take: the Jade changes are actually really good.
Sure, the hammer isn't really useful for speed anymore.
It makes you leap much higher now though, it can go just as far, but now it's better for jumping up, too.
It's also great to leap over opponents, possibly confusing them.
Having control in the air also makes it much easier to land the slam attack, which was already a pretty underrated mechanic. The potential fall damage is brutal.
Not to mention the temporary invincibility from the leap, all these features combined make Jade way more consistent and versatile for even more situations.
This update also makes Jade stand out more from other movement kits, for example Void Regent or Yuzi.
If you want mobility, you can just use one of those.
I understand if you prefer the old Jade, in some ways I do too.
