A true story of suffering, sadness, grief and change. The injustice that many families suffer because of our broken and disconnected legal and medical systems as it associates with mental illness. The struggles navigating through the challenges of schizophrenia and the roadblocks in our healthcare system deterring the mentally ill in our country from receiving proper treatment (i.e. limited access to healthcare, limited treatment facilities, road blocks to Medicaid expansion, and weak involuntary commitment laws).
