Hello! I'm pianist and composer Rob Kovacs, aka 88bit. On this channel I upload videos of original piano arrangements of video game music, specifically music from the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) era.
I grew up playing these games and have a nostalgic love for the music. And as I've learned more about what went into creating and composing these soundtracks, I've gained an even greater appreciation for the music and the composers.
One of my goals with 88bit is to shed light on some of the lesser known 8-bit soundtracks and bring the music to new audiences, especially to people who may have never played the games (or been able to get too far in them.)
