I can never unsee the fact that John seems to be drunk at the beginning of satisfied. Not just like "I've had a couple of drinks and im feeling a little tipsy" but like full on drunk. He is also slightly rowdy when he says "Alright alright that's what I'm talking about!" which supports this theory and his excitement seems over exaggerated. Some may say he is drinking because it's a wedding and he wants to have fun or that he is just really excited for his friend. But I think he is drinking to try to drown out the fact that the love of his life just got married to someone else and is trying to hide the fact that he is absolutely miserable with a fake smile. The drinking bit is proved even more when he tells burr "I heard you got a special someone on the side burr" as he is acting silly and overall drunk. Even his line, "Raise a glass to freedom. Something you will never see again. No matter what she tells you" seems pointed at alex and his realashionship, as it could be taken as "now that your married we likely won't see eachother anymore" . Anyways that's all thanks for listening to my ted talk.
