HELLO
I've got a new video coming out this Wednesday, which is the day that you think it is. Hey! Check out the thumbnail! Topical!
I promise it is at least 1/3 about the film and not 2/3 pure, raging guff.
Another vaguely topical video coming out in March (I am not trying to set high expectations).
See you then, parasocially, like.

Salve (as they say in ancient rome),
I hope you enjoyed my new video! If you did indeed watch it. If not, go on, watch it, it's right there. It has romans in it. But it's mostly about the sociological nature of holidays.
Okay, maybe this one wasn't pop culture or rage-bait-y enough. With that in mind (this was my plan all along), the next video will be about Sex Education. I'll be celebrating the 4th series (please god let it be ok) with a video essay that talks to the things the show gets right*.
It'll be called: Sex Education Analysis: All the Nostalgias!
Hope the algo likes the words "sex" and "anal" in one title.
I'm aiming for 21 September, so set your c(l)ocks.
*then I promise to make the shaun of the dead video, ok

Hey everyone,
The Peep Show video is out! Again! With bonus added bonus extra bonuses including an extra bonus section all about Johnson.
I hope you enjoy watching is as much as I enjoyed making it. Actually, no, I don't.
You see, you might have noticed that this video was a bit late. I lost the will to finish it, and I honestly found it really hard to sit down and get it done even when I made time for it. I ended up taking 3 weeks off to just play Civ 5 and eat biscuits. And do my regular full time job.
When I returned to the video, I was spurred on to edit in a way I hadn't felt in yonks. I think I'd been suffering burnout. So I'm going to take my time for the rest of the year, at least until I have more time to play with.
The next video will be at the end of August - and, plot twist, it probably won't be any of the ideas you voted for last time round. I've got something topical in mind.
See you then. Stay futile.

Hey yous, The Peep Show video is all going according to plan and should be up by the end of the month. But what video should I make next? Let me give you a few options. I really can't decide for the life of me.
As they say, vote now on your phones...

Hullo!
Just wanted to give you guys an update on the next video, which should be out by the end of this month.
You might have noticed that my old Peep Show video "Is Peep Show Anticapitalist?" has vanished from the channel.
That's because I've decided the next video is going to be a //redux// of that ol' video there.
There's a few reasons for this:
> The top comment was "my left ear really enjoyed this video" and my audio post-production brain is still screaming internally
> Desire to change images of real people, things and "siamese elephants"
> Adding new bits! Bonus DVD content. I'm going to stitch in a couple new strands and an entire new section on Johnson. Another mega-vid. Why do I do this to myself?
Anywho, look forward to that one sharpish. I'm filming it this week.
And if you take one thing away from this: don't spunk your best ideas up the wall straight away, folks!
P.S. check out my latest video if you haven't already - it's about fresh meat and two lesser-known "campus comedies"...

Hello there! I've been in the middle of nowhere today, thinking about the future of this channel.
Yesterday I had about a hundred subscribers. Now I have about eight times that. I'm grateful to all of those who've brought their /eyeballs/ over here from elsewhere..! Please do stick around.
So. The next video had better be pretty good then! Here's a taster. The working title is:
The Great British Bake Off Analysis | Nostalgia and Nationalism.
Watch this space, it'll be with you soon. And thank you again for watching! Here is an ironical thumbs up delivered in a field.

Making video essays endearingly awkward since 2021.
Word Salad is the pet project of Edmund Hyde, all-round codswallop and no relation to the dangerous Dr. Jekyll.
Edmund Hyde has been a public servant, a poet, a podcaster and a pint-puller, but now he is just a bit of a joker.
Topics range from the pop-cultural to the sociological and everything in between.
Expect to be generally enlightened, occasionally confused, and potentially hangry (you should really eat before watching, the salad is purely metaphorical).
