New day and new game to talk about. This time it's a game from 2008 called Spore. It's game where you play as a little bacteria that evolve in to different creatures until it becomes smart, makes tribes, creates cities and later even goes to space. And the game itself is like 4 or 5 games in one. Like, the starting stage is like a mini game, where you playing as a little creature, eating meat or sea plantation and growing up, until you will be able to go out to the dry land. After that, you create your creature, shaping it from different parts, running around and trying to evolve by making friends or enemies by communicating with other creatures or attacking them. And this stage on land is like a action style game.

But then when you evolve further, it turns like in to a strategy game, where you have to create your own tribe and evolve to become more stronger and smarter. And so on. You can actually modify and create whatever creature you like, you only have to find the parts for it, like legs, new heads, wrists, arms and stuff like that by playing the game. And then you mate with one of your species and go to creature editor, where you can modify your creature. Which is very cool. Also, it depends on what parts you use, you will have more or less abilities that will either help you or make your evolution worse and you can get stuck if you are not paying attention.

And so yeah, I decided to play this game, since I didn't played it back in the days because back then, as a teenager, it seemed boring to me. I was more impressed by FPS games, racing games or fighting games rather than games like Spore. But now I decided to give it a try and at first run I liked it, but later I hit the "road bump" after game turned in to a strategy style game. Because, in action stages you can run around, mess with stuff and fully control your character, but now, since the game turned in to strategy style, I found it boring, because you have to play it like some kind of strategy game, like WarCraft, Heroes of Might and Magic or Dune. And no, I don't say that those games are bad, I'm saying that I don't like them. They are not made for me. Sure, I played them as a kid, but as adult I found them boring.

Anyway, for me personally this game, Spore, was fun while it was at "creature" stage. While I could control my character, unlock new things, mess around and explore the world, creating whatever creature I liked. But later when it turns in to a strategy game, it just becomes boring to me. Thus why in my opinion Spore game only shines in first 5, or so, hours but later it just turns in to something that not most of the people would like. Thus why I would give this old game a 6.5/10. Fun at the start but boring in second half of the game. And that is my opinion on this game.

Another rant today and it's about one video game that I kinda liked when I first time played it, but now this game feels flat to me. I know that I will probably gonna get a lot of hate for this but the game is Killing Floor 1. And the reason is simple. It's just a multiplayer survival FPS game that you gonna play for hour or two and then never come back to it for the rest of the day. That is how I feel about this game today. There is no story mode, no plot, you just start the game alone against bots or with your friends, select your weapons, perks and try to survive hordes of zombies for hours, until you kill final boss and then you select next map, or game does it for you and start all over again, if you want.

Like, there is a good shooting mechanic in this game. The gameplay itself is dynamic and the game feels promising. So why not make a full story campaign for a single player and make a multiplayer as a separate thing? That is what I don't understand. It just feels like a Counter-Strike only you are trying to survive against bots. But when Counter-Strike felt cool, fast and interesting, Killing Floor 1 feels slow and later becomes boring. And today I decided to give it another shot after like 8, or so, years, since back when I found this game randomly, I liked it a lot. But now this game feels just empty.

And like I said, the gunplay in this game is great. The sounds are chunky and sound powerful. There is even a characters, but it doesn't matter what character you select. It's just a skin that does nothing. Because, everything comes down to perks aka skills. You select who you wanted to be, medic, sharpshooter, commando etc, and depending on that you will get certain weapons. But then again, even if in sharpshooter skill it says that it reduces the recoil for weapons, it's all a lie. Because it doesn't reduce the recoil. Same with other skills. Whatever they say, it most likely a lie because, you select that perk or skill, buy a weapon, let's say M16 for example, you shoot a incoming zombies and what do you see? Your camera flies up when you shoot and all your bullets are wasted.

Then the movement speed problem. You move slower than a turtle! You may say that in hints on loading screen it says that you can run faster with knife. That's a lie. I switched to knife and I still run with the same speed as with other weapons. And this plays a crucial part in the gameplay because, when enemies comes from different sides, you wanna be as fast as possible to run away and don't let them surrender you. But it's impossible, simply because you move very, VERY slow. Thus most of the time the gameplay turns in to a frustrating survival game, where all chances to survive only appears when you set your difficulty to beginner. But even then I once got surrounded by zombies and killed, because screen shaking so much that I can't even tell what's happening.

But wait, there is more! You see, despite this been a FPS game, there is no crosshair on the screen to allow you aim better. So whole game what you do is aiming blindly, hoping to hit incoming zombies and not waste your ammo. Sure, you may say that it's more challenging that way, but in my opinion it's a BS excuse to forgive a bad game design choices. Because, there is another popular survival FPS game called Left 4 Dead and it does what Killing Floor did but 100 times better. Like, you didn't had to run like turtle, shoot blindly or rely on perks because, you had crosshair, you ran fast enough to survive and there were no perks. But more importantly, LEFT 4 DEAD HAD A STORY EVEN IN MULTIPLAYER! But then there is a gun shop that you need to visit after taking out every horde in Killing Floor to buy new weapons. And you know what's funny? After you bought few guns, you can't buy anymore because you can't carry too much guns. So what is this, a video game or a torture program to piss you off as much as possible? And again, Left 4 Dead did it better, so what's Killing Floor's excuse? I guess that I know what. GREED!

You might be thinking now, if you get to this point of my boring text, that I'm pissed at this game. And you would be wrong. I'm not pissed, I'm disappointed that Killing Floor is not the game that my mind painted it to be. Because, again, back when I first time discovered it, I liked it. It was one of the best games that I played every day in my teenage years. But now I can't stand Killing Floor any longer. Just because I realized, how bad it's game design really was. No wonder it turned in to a live service piece of crap with Killing Floor 2 and now Killing Floor 3 that even looks like a PS3 starting title.

But hold on! Before you say, YES, I know that there is a single player version of Killing Floor 1 with campaign. I just don't know if it's worth playing because it can turned out to be the same slop, but why not combine both versions of the game in to one and make it something like Left 4 Dead? Like, it doesn't have to be a clone of Left 4 Dead, it just has take it's game design to improve itself. Like, add crosshair on the screen, add story, cutscenes, other few bots that will run with you along. Adapt maps to fit the story, add running mechanic, scatter weapons across the maps in random places and that's it! A good game is in your hands. But I feel like I'm too late with saying this, so yeah, I will give Killing Floor 1 a 5/10. Was fun in the past but after I took off a pink shades, it started to look and feel boring and disappointing.

Another day, another thing to rant about. And today I wanted to rant about upcoming sequel to 2021 Mortal Kombat movie simply called Mortal Kombat 2. More specifically about casting of Johnny Cage. You see, for the role of Johnny Cage, who is, by the game lore, are hollywood actor who originally went to the MK tournament to prove that his stunts in his movies are real, and that he is not a fraud. And later he finds himself as a team member of earth's defenders, who protected earth from invaders like Shao Kahn or Shinnok. That is a basic summary of Johnny Cage's bio from OG games.

Let's get back to the thing that I wanted to talk about, which is a casting for Johnny Cage. Because, instead of choosing the actor who would be a perfect for Johnny Cage, creators of the sequel chose none other than Karl Urban. And that is a HUGE miscast for this character, if you ask me. Why? Simply because he doesn't even look like Johnny Cage! And I don't even know if Karl knows any martial arts because, originally Johnny Cage can fight. He can do crazy stuff, but can Karl Urban do it on the big screen as Johnny Cage? I personally doubt but we will see.

And here we have a poster with Karl Urban as Johnny Cage for the upcoming MK2 movie. Sure, he looks cool but he does not look like Johnny Cage. He looks like Karl Urban but not as Johnny Cage. Sure, Karl Urban is a great actor, I have no doubts about that but he doesn't have that Johnny Cage look and personality, even judging by this poster. But at the end of the day, we will see what's gonna happen. I have low expectations for this movie, simply because I know how many crappy movies we have these days. And the same I will recommend to you, whoever is reading this post. Have low expectations before watching this movie because, in case if it's a bad movie, you will not gonna be disappointed too much if you gonna go to watch it and have low expectations from it.

So today I finally had a chance to play a game that I saw for a long time on the internet. And it's one of those Max Payne clones that most of the people would probably hate, but I personally completed it fully and I enjoyed it. Yes, I'm talking about the game called EL MATADOR, which was released in 2006 for PC and created by one of those unknown studios called Plastic Reality Technologies.

As I said that, it's one of those Max Payne clones, so if you played Max Payne trilogy, or at least first few games, then you should know what to expect from this game. And because of that, the gameplay is simple. You running around, shooting everything that shoots you and fight with bosses in the end of each mission. Also, just like in Max Payne games, you have your slow motion ability, or bullet time ability, when everything goes in slow motion and your character jumps in to certain direction, shooting at enemies on screen while you pressing buttons for that to happen. It even activates similarly to Max Payne games.

But what this game does differently in terms of gameplay is aiming and healing. Like, you can't bring painkillers with you. You have to find medkits on the levels, which also pushes you to explore levels to find ammo, weapons and armor. Yes, unlike Max Payne, this game also gives you armor, and only when armor ends, your health will start to drain from enemy shots. As for the aiming, unlike Max Payne, you can aim not just only with cross on your screen but also from the shoulder perspective, like in Resident Evil 4 or GTA 4 for example, which gives you a better aiming and you can shoot enemies in to the head, which takes them out instantly. But then there is a separate grenade button, that allows you to throw grenades instantly, instead of selecting them from the slot and throwing them by a firing button like in Max Payne games, which is extremely uncomfortable.

As for the story. You play as DEA agent called Victor Corbet, who later gets a nickname El Matador after going to Colombia to help their authorities fight against cartels. And so yeah, that is basically a whole story. You play as a guy who stops cartels and the rest is in the gameplay. Simple but enough to explain a reason for why you need to kill all of those enemies in this game on your screen.

But, as it usually happens, this game is not perfect. It's a game of it's time and because of that, it has flaws that, while not critical, can be very annoying or frustrating. For example, when you get shot, most of the time you will have no clue who shot you and from where. So you will have to stop and look around, to find who shot you. Which leads to the next problem, which is enemies that blends in the environment. Sure, you can get used to that and never have any problem with that later but playing this game first time gonna be hard. And then there is another problem, which is explosive barrels. Or to be more specific, their hitboxes. Like, you shoot a barrel, hide behind a wall, it explodes and still hurt you. Which feels like those barrels have a hitbox that are half of the screen wide. Same with grenade explosions. Even if you think that you are far enough to hide from grenade, it will still get you. And the damage that you get from explosions in this game depends on the distance between you and explosion. Which is actually a cool feature, that is also a problem sometimes.

In the end, despite all of the problems, I did enjoyed this game a lot, despite playing it first time, since I had no idea about this game existence until much later. This game didn't sparked any rage in me and it actually felt fun. Also, despite it's simple plot, it was actually somewhat fun to follow. So, would I recommend this game to anyone? The answer is YES. If you played original Max Payne games and you would love more of something like that, then try this game out. It will provide a good challenge and will be actually fun to play. Also, if you, like me, like to play games for fun then set difficulty in this game to easy. It will still be challenging but fair enough for you to beat the game. So I will give this game a 8.5/10. A very cool game from the past that somehow got around me back in the days.

Here is another topic for today to talk about. And it's about a movie Venom: The Last Dance. I just had a chance to watch it and, is it weird that I love movies that everybody else hate? Because I love this movie, including previous two movies. Yes, I know that this is a Venom without Spider-Man but still, in my opinion this was the best live action Venom that we ever got. Sure, you can disagree with me as much as you want but again, I love this movie. And it sucks that there is not gonna be more of it, despite after credits scenes.

Why I love it? Because it's the best live action representation of Venom. I mean, name any other movie where we got a better live action Venom. You may say Spider-Man 3 but, as much as I love Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, that Venom sucks. It's not even close to be Venom that the actual Venom movie gave us, in my opinion. Also, many people will say that the CGI looks bad but let me ask you a question then. How would you made a CGI living goo that can transform you in to giant bulky monster? What would you do to make it look better?? I'm sure that you can't even answer to this question because you don't have the answer. So yeah, this is the best live action Venom that we ever had. Criticizer me, disagree with me, bash me all you want but nothing will change my opinion. All of the new Venom movies is pure joy and I love it.

Sure, there is some bad and cringe humor but outside of that, and the fact that there is no Spider-Man, it's a perfect representation of Venom. Thus why I will give Venom The Last Dance a 8.5/10. Again, disagree with me all you want but you can't change my opinion. Not even if you pay me.

Another day, another topic to talk about. And today I wanted to talk about the fact that, as I noticed that most of the people are calling games like Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Counter-Strike: Source a bad games. That those games, in their words, are the worst in the series. And I disagree with that statement because, they are not bad. They are giving you the same classic 1.6 experience while having a new look and design.

For example, while looking different in terms of 3D models and design for the most part, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero still has that classic CS 1.6 gameplay that everyone loves. But it's design are much more cleaner and cool looking than that blocky old 1.6 design. Same goes for Counter-Strike: Source, but in this one there is a lot more changes, since it runs on Source engine that were used for games like Half-Life 2 or Portal. Thus it has new (for the time) physics and it looks a lot better than both 1.6 and Condition Zero combined. But it plays the same. It gives you that same classic 1.6 style of gameplay.

Sure, since both Condition Zero and CS Source are not CS 1.6, despite classic gameplay, some classic strats will not work, especially in CS Source, but it doesn't mean that CS Condition Zero and Source are bad games. They are just a bit different from CS 1.6. And yes, I'm not a pro player, I'm just a regular casual gamer, who enjoys Counter-Strike games even with bots, thus I can't dive deeper in these two games and find things that would probably look like they would make these two games worse than they look but still, in my opinion CS Condition Zero and Source are not a bad games.

But then we have another problem that we should address here. You see, when CS:GO released, people demanded classic CS 1.6 gameplay and cried that the game is not like CS 1.6, but at the same time, when we have two previous games, which is CS Condition Zero and Source, that give you the classic 1.6 style of gameplay, people are started to cry again, saying that it's not the same too. So what else do people want? Do we even understand what we want from video games even? I know what I personally want from video games. I want them to be fun and entertaining, with fair challenge and interest for me as a player. But yet, the way I see it, many Counter-Strike players and fans seems to don't know what they want. When CS 1.6 were a thing, they cried for a new game. When Condition Zero dropped, they cried that the game is not CS 1.6. Same happened with CS Source and later with CS:GO. So what else do people event want, if they can't decide which Counter-Strike game is better?

So yeah, this is why I disagree with statement that Counter-Strike Condition Zero and Counter-Strike Source are bad games. Because they are not bad, they are just different. And people simply need to learn how to play them and give them a chance, instead of crying that those games are not the same as CS 1.6.

So few days ago I finally had a chance to watch a third Sonic The Hedgehog movie and I wanted to share my opinion about it. NO SPOILERS, so don't be afraid to catch any. But what I will say is that, this third Sonic The Hedgehog movie is based on Sonic Adventures 2 video game. So if you played that game and completed it, you know what's gonna happen in this movie. Sure, it's not one to one copy paste of the story but there is many aspects that are based on Sonic Adventures 2. Like the appearance of, and this is not a spoiler because it was shown in the trailers AND in the ending for second Sonic movie, Shadow The Hedgehog. Yes, Shadow is in this movie and, as you already know from the trailers, he is a villain for Sonic.

As for my opinion, I liked the movie. It is a lot better than the first two movies in terms of everything, like the action scenes for example or soundtrack. Sure, there is some things that felt cringe to me personally, like some "funny" moments, but in general I liked the movie. But my main problem with this movie is that, the events of the movie evolve too fast. Like, movie just starts and then BAM, our heroes are already in the middle of the action. And then it feels like you just started watching the movie but then BAM, and you are already at the end. Thus it felt like creators of the movie rushed the events of the plot instead of giving those events a time to evolve. And that is my main problem with this movie.

And yes, I'm a Sonic fan. Not a hardcore fan but a casual fan who loves the games, loves the characters and story but does not stick to it forever. Because, it eventually becomes boring and you have to find something new to enjoy. But yeah, again, like I said that, I liked this movie and I will give it 8.5/10. If not for the cringe moments and rushed events, I would gave it a higher rating as a fan of Sonic and movies enjoyer. And that is that!

Next I will probably give a shot to Thunderbolts movie, IF it turns out to be good and new Fantastic 4 movie, and again IF it turns out to be good. Same with new Captain America movie. But the movie that I'm waiting for the most is a sequel to 2021 Mortal Kombat movie aka Mortal Kombat 2. That 2021 movie was good so I'm hoping, as a MK long time fan, that this second movie is gonna be even bigger and better. But we will see.

Today I wanted to make a different post about actually reviewing something that I watched yesterday, but there is another thing that bothers me that I wanted to talk about. And consider this as a hot take because, today I wanted to talk about the fact that there is youtubers who are making their videos available ONLY for their channel sponsors. And I don't like that, simply because the channels that you subscribed to are restricting you from watching the content that you came to watch and support. Yes, you may say that there is nothing wrong if people are getting payed for their content, but what is wrong is the fact that, I know few channels already that locked their videos under payment and those videos never got any views. How do I know that? Well, there is certain ways to see how they are doing. And they are doing very badly.

I will not mention any names here but, yesterday I saw another channel that locked their video that I would wanted personally to watch, under a sponsorship. Now, you may say that, what's the problem then, pay up and watch the video. The problem is that, I'm not financially rich, okay? I pay for the internet, for water, for electricity, then I have to buy something for myself AND I have to buy a food to not starve to death. So after all that, you expect me to pay some kind of youtuber to be able to watch his videos? Dude, my whole money goes just in to my existence! If I waste what I have left to some kind of youtuber, I will either starve for the rest of the month or be without electricity or water. And I don't want that. Thus my point is that, not everyone is rich to pay for the videos to watch. So why not instead those kind of youtubers put their crap together and go find a real job instead, huh? How about that? And then make videos when you have few days off of your job, as a hobby.

And that's the way I see it. Youtube should be a hobby. Making and sharing your videos should be a hobby and not a means to live your life or make money off of people by just locking your videos under payment. But that is just my opinion. You can disagree with me as much as you want, but this is how I see all of the youtube stuff. As a hobby. I never made any money from youtube when I was doing my videos. Simply because it was a hobby for me. Sure, it was tempting but I managed to not go a greedy route and just had fun. So what stops others from doing it? I don't get it. Probably greed and because it is easier to make money off of people on youtube, but I still don't get it because the reasons are always different. But I feel like that main reason is greed.

New day, new thing to talk about. And today I wanted to talk about a m.u.g.e.n community. No, not the cars related but fighting video games engine related. For those of you who don't know, I'm talking about m.u.g.e.n fighting game engine, made by ElecByte back in like maybe 2000s or so for creating your own fighting games. And so, there was entire community created around this engine, who continues to create or recreate their own fighting games for free using this specific engine. But what there is to talk about in regards of the community, you may ask? Well, today I wanted to talk about one specific website called Mugen Archive. A website that was created by m.u.g.e.n community to store all of their creations and share their creations with other members of the community.

What about it, you may ask? Well, it's about the fact that you can get banned on that website for even talking about people from that website somewhere, sharing their work OR disagreeing with them in anything. Even if you are a part of any other m.u.g.e.n related community (and yes, there is some), Mugen Archive community will ban you, blocking your access to their website for no reason. They even block you if you are using VPN or Private Tab in your browser. And they claim that they are doing this because there is a lot of hate in m.u.g.e.n community and they wanted to prevent it on their website. But in reality, they will block you on their website even if you never visited them but have heard or talked about their website in one way or the other.

Like me for example! I was blocked a year ago or so and since then I can't access their website by any means. Unless I hack it but I'm not a hacker, nor do I have such kind of money to pay hackers, so I'm not going to do that. But the fact that they are so hateful that they are gonna ban or block anyone from accessing their website tells me all what I wanted to know about them. That they are egoistic, antisocial, self loving, hateful retards, who hate anyone who disagree with what they say or what they do. Because, a year ago I was blocked simply because I disagreed with one of their members on their website. And that despite the fact that I was polite and was simply voicing my point of view. And yet, I god banned.

This is why I consider today a Mugen Archive to be the worst m.u.g.e.n community place ever! I know that they probably don't care but neither do I. Because, from this moment on, I will be avoiding their website or their social media like a fire in the dry forest. Sure, it saddens me that I can't no longer have access to the largest amount of content for m.u.g.e.n e engine and that I will no longer be able to put together my own fan made games by using that content, but if it means to grow in life and move forward, ignoring selfish retards that Mugen Archive are, then so be it. I rather visit any other website related to m.u.g.e.n, even if they have less content, than deal with retards and egoists from Mugen Archive. Thus why I do not recommend anyone, who loves m.u.g.e.n, that website. It's the worst place in fighting game m.u.g.e.n community that I have ever seen in my life. And I have seen a lot to compare Mugen Archive to and Mugen Archive is the worst place that I have even been on. Not because of the website design, but because of their members and administration who will hate anyone for literally no reason. So if you value your free time then avoid that website. Trust me, it ain't worth your time!

Another hot take from me and it's about discord. I'm frigging tired of it, man. And not because of any reason that you could think of. But the reason is that, let's say you saw some popular mod for a game or fan made game that was made by some indie developer, and you want to know if you can download it. I think that you already know where I'm going with this but, when it comes to mods or games like that, most of the time it always comes to discord. And people are always telling you to go to discord, if you want to download their work and play it. And I personally got sick of it.

Because, discord, in my personal opinion, should be a source of communication between people, and not a platform for sharing video games. Like, for mods we have many different websites, like Moddb or Gamebanana for example. Heck, or even Steam Workshop does a better job. But instead most of the people are relaying on discord and sharing their work there, and it became really annoying, for me at least.

Why it became annoying? Well, mostly because of discord's privacy policy. Like, if you were not online on discord for a long time and you decided to check on it and see what's what, then you can't log in from one click. You have to verify that you are human, and then you have to verify your IP address and only then you can enter your discord page. And that is frigging annoying, man. And no, I did not turned on improved verification or any stuff like that. Since the day I started using discord, it was always like this.

And then another reason why it is annoying is because of the way you join different groups on discord. Like, let's say you wanted to join some Mortal Kombat related group. And before you even get a chance to join it, they ask you millions of questions of why you wanna do that. Then, they ask you to verify that you are not a "robot" and after that they may allow you to join the group, or otherwise they will ask you more stupid questions. Or as they call it, a discord server. But I will call it a group for the simplicity of it. And that is why I'm tired of discord.

Thus in the end, I would prefer if mod creators or indie game developers, especially those that are not making their games for money but for free, like on OpenBor engine or Mugen engine, posting their stuff on dedicated websites. It would be a lot easier for people to get their stuff and for the creators of that stuff to spread their creations, in my personal opinion. As for the discord, the way I see it, it should remain as a way to communicate for people, but not sharing video games or mods. Simply because, before you get those mods or games, you got to go through hell and fire. But that is just my opinion.
