Continuing my rant about old S.T.A.L.K.E.R games, I wanna say that there is few more things that ruins the experience for me. First one is the fact that, if you picked up a gun, stashed it somewhere, turned off the game and then loaded your save file up and decided to pick that gun up again, it will be gone! I never noticed this before because I never tried to stash something. And so yeah, recently I decided to replay S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Clear Sky, I picked up Scar's sniper rifle, which is Vintar BC, got to the Dark Valley location, stashed the gun in one of the crates on the base of Freedom stalker group and then decided to take a break from a game for a few days and turned it off. And when I came back to the game, loaded my save file and decided to pick up the gun after I have done all of the quests for Freedom group of stalkers, the gun itself was not there! It was gone. I thought that maybe I stashed it somewhere else, so I decided to revisit previous locations to check out other places but nope, the gun was not there. And after that I lost all of the interest of continuing replaying this game. Because, taking away something from the player in the game that player has achieved is a low blow. So all I have now to do is to restart the whole game. Or just cheat right away. But where is the fun in cheating? And I don't want to replay the game from the beginning all over again. So yeah, I might be done with Stalker games for now because of BS like this.
You may ask, why does that gun important in this game and the answer will be simple: because it is one of the best guns in the game. So losing it because of a bug or stupid game design just destroys your whole interest to the game itself, because that is not fair, when the game gives you something and then takes it away from you for no reason.
And the second thing that I want to talk about that ruins the experience is the day and night cycle. Like, recently people have been complaining how in Stalker 2 day time are shorter than night. But the people are obviously forgot how short it was in previous Stalker games. Mainly in Stalker - Clear Sky. Like, you can save your game, then reload your save file and the day cycle will be over in few minutes, if not seconds and you will be running around at night. And the night time itself in this game are so dark that you can't see nothing. The only solution to this is to crank up brightness until it becomes visible. But even then it doesn't help because, I like a day time in this game that looks all bright and colorful, unlike in Shadow of Chernobyl, but I can't enjoy it simply because it is not long enough. And because you can see the image in-game clearly during day time instead of using flashlight in this game, that is basically useless, as well as the night vision.
So yeah, despite how much I love original Stalker games, they have too many flaws that needs a fixing. Sure, maybe there is mods that fix all that but, why can't developers fix it, I have no idea. I mean, wouldn't be better if it were fixed by default right away? So that, after you buy the game, you just install it and enjoy it without a need of finding mods to fix the game? I think it would have been better way of enjoying the game if it was fixed by default. And if GSC can't fix these old Stalker games, then why not take fan made mods, pre-install them and sell the game, making those mods official. It would be a lot simple for them and a lot more enjoyable for us to enjoy old Stalker games in my opinion.

Another new "hot take" but this time about finding channels that I would actually like to watch. I love finding some interesting channels even these days, watch their content and if I like what I see, I will subscribe. But here is the thing that makes me want to unsubscribe, and it's the fact that certain content creators that I was subscribed to decided to go off their way to make a content that nobody expected to see. I will not give you names of the channels, but there is some people that I were subscribed to, that was doing content about entertainment. Like music or video games. And then they went off their way and decided to hit a topic that they should never have touched, which is politics topic. After that, I saw few community posts from them where they said that, they were struggling to get views, that they were getting death threats via personal messages, and that they are burned out and can't do anything.
And so now they wonder, why their views dropped and they got those threats. It's because you should not have had started a topic that you should not supposed to touch. Because, when people saw that, they didn't liked it right away and that caused views to drop and some hardcore fans started to threat those people, because they didn't liked what they saw. And that is the truth. So in the end I had to unsubscribe from, like, about 5 channels in last, maybe 2 or 3 months. Simply because those people stopped doing the content that many liked and because they started to do something completely different. Something that I don't like. So yeah, today I came to a conclusion that finding channels that I would personally liked is almost next to impossible because of the reasons that I stated here. And that sucks, if I be honest with you all.

Here is my rant about S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Pripyat. So, long story short, I decided to replay this game after a decade or so and.. well, I don't like this game anymore. Not because it is bad, but because it makes useless decisions and has some bad design. Sure, for the most part the game is good, but after that in Pripyat it starts to show less quality. And it feels like GSC back then put less effort in to recreating Pripyat as a location itself for the game, but we will get to that later.
Back when I first time played this game, I was a teenagers. But now as adult I see all it's flaws and I can't just enjoy this game anymore the same as I enjoyed it back then when it released for the first time. And the first reason for this been a equipment and gear that this game gives you near it's end, when you already don't need it. For example, you can't get exoskeleton too early, unless you are cheating or using bugs and stuff like that. So by the time that you get it, you no longer need it because you already completed all of the hard side missions and quests. So when you finally get the exoskeleton, it will become useless. Why didn't developers tested this and didn't give you exoskeleton a bit earlier, I have no idea.
Second thing that prevents me from enjoying this game is the location of Pripyat itself, which is what I was wanted to talk about in the beginning of this post. Because, they didn't even recreated whole Pripyat, mixing it with the design of it's other side from Shadow of Chernobyl and with the one that they did for Call of Pripyat. So that we could have had both sides of the city, along with stadium, wheel and a path to the powerplant. Instead, we only have one side of the city, and the other one only has some little portions of it, like few buildings that resemble it but you can't get there, because there is nothing except a flat texture. But then, the new side of Pripyat that they build for the Call of Pripyat is boring and empty. It doesn't have details nor NPCs that would walk around and create a illusion of a life in the zone. You just walk around empty places and streets and there is nothing to do, outside of doing quests. Now, compare other two locations like Zaton and Yanov and you will see that they put more effort in to them than in Pripyat. Which is really disappointing because the emphasis in the name of this game was made on Pripyat, and yet the Pripyat itself got less attention in recreation than other two locations.
And the third thing that kills my enjoyment of this game is upgrade system. Because, unlike upgrade system from Clear Sky, where you can upgrade whatever you need almost since the beginning, in Call of Pripyat you have to walk around, look for the parts for the technician, bring him those parts and only then you will be able to upgrade something, right? Right?? WRONG! Because, if you did not completed specific quests that are tight to that specific technician character, then he will not be able to upgrade your gear fully. You could only upgrade few things and walk around with not even a half upgraded gear and that's it. And by the time you upgrade your gear, you will beat the game and it will became useless! So what's the point of upgrading your armor or guns if you no longer can complete main or side quests??? So yeah, the upgrade system in S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Pripyat is completely useless. You might just download a "Ruler of the Zone" cheat menu, that allows you to get anything and play the game that way. Because by playing the fair way you can't get everything what this game can offer you. And if you can then it will became useless because there is nothing to apply all that stuff to.
That is why I can't enjoy this game anymore like I enjoyed it back when it came out. Because, back then I refused to even look at the design flaws of this game. But now, after playing many good games and returning to S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Pripyat, I can't no longer ignore those flaws. And I'm not even talking about the cutscenes, that are now just a slideshow instead of CGI cinematics or in-game on engine cutscenes. Wish this game got some kind of remaster or remake, because it has promising structure but it fails to deliver it.

Here is my new hot take. And it's about mods for video games. I'm so done with them that I can't stand any mod for any game right now. Like Half-Life 1 for example. Because, you can't run a mod that you like on vanilla version before Valve screwed the game up with their 25th anniversary update that nobody asked for. So yeah, if you don't have a latest updated version of Half-Life 1, then you can't even play mods for the game. And what do I have to do if I have a physical copy of the game BEFORE the 25th anniversary update? Throw the f-n disc in to the trash that I payed money for or what? I can't stand this BS, man.
Then we have games like GTA that has a very easy way to install mods, but there is another problem. And that been the fact that, nobody is gonna guarantee that the mods that you installed in to your game are gonna 100% work. And that pisses me of because, I just want to play the game with the mods that I like and have fun, but instead I have to deal with crap tons of bugs, errors and stuff like that, that will break your game and ruin your experience.
So yeah, mods for video games for me these days are rather frustration than enjoyment. Thus why I have to step away from playing mods and just enjoy vanilla games for a while. Because, like I said, while mods can be fun, they also can be very frustrating to deal with in terms of the fact that, if they gonna work or not after you install them.

You know, while S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl is my favorite game in original trilogy, there is still one big downside to it. And that is the fact that, after you complete the game by getting the true ending, the game teleports you to one of the huge pipes near the powerplant. And you can't get to explore the world of the game. You can't simply get down from that pipe, escape from the powerplant and go back to previous locations, completing the side quests that you didn't finished and stuff like that.
Sure, there is mods that allow you to do this but legally without mods, after you completely beat the game, you can't go back and you are basically stuck on that big pipe and that's it. Why is this downside? Well, because it would be interesting to explore the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl after you completed the game. But sadly GSC back then, the developer of the series, probably didn't thought about it and that is a shame honestly.

Finally I got to replay S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Pripyat after almost 8 or 10 years since I last time played it and.. well, it turns out that I have a different perspective on this game now. And if back then I liked this game, since something like this was almost new to me at that time, these days while playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Pripyat I can't stand the game. It's game design are simply became frustrating to me and I wanna share my opinion on it and tell you, why it feels that way these days for me.
So, first thing that I don't like is the quests and how you do them. Like, main quests is mostly fine but if you decide to do a side quests first before moving by the story, then you can get stuck very easily. Simply because, there are a side quests that doesn't tell you where your objective are. And to complete it, you have to walk around, visit different locations and try to understand, what you have to do. Sure, these days it's easy thanks to internet, where you can find all the information that you need in order to complete the quest, but back then it was frustrating and was giving me a lot of headache. And even now with the internet, if you no longer have to play the game by yourself and you can just find information about, how to beat the quest that was given to you by the game, then why should you play the game in the first place??? There is simply no point of playing it, since you can just load up a youtube video and see what the quest is all about. And that makes the game pointless.
Like, take the quest that one of the scientists gives you, where you have to find the so called mythical oasis. First of all, do you know what that oasis is in context of this game, if you are first time playing this game? Or do you know where to look for it and how it looks like?? I doubt it! Sure, the game tells you to go and talk about it with all of those different NPCs, but I did that just to see, how long it will take me to find that one NPC that will guide me towards the oasis and.. well, none of the NPCs knew what it is. And in all of the dialogues they all say that they basically don't know where to find it. Luckily for me, who played this game way back when it came out, I know where to find it. And it's a abandoned ventilation system near one of the ruins of some structure, that you have to get inside near the railway, take out a bunch of zombies and mutant rats, crawl through 3 different pipes, solve a puzzle with a teleportation and only then you will find it. So my question is, HOW the freak you should know where to find it, let alone figure out how to get to it, if you are playing this game for the first time?
Second thing that I don't like is walking. In this game, you gonna be walking A LOT! Sure, in previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R games you walked on foot too, like in Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky, but the amount of walking in Call of Pripyat beats those games by 80% if not more. And the problem with walking is that, the locations in Call of Pripyat is very, VERY big in comparison to previous two games, and in this game your character gets very tired of running for too long very quickly. And then if you carry too much loot with yourself, you gonna get tired every few seconds, which makes traversing these big locations like Zaton, Jupiter or Pripyat very annoying, boring and frustrating at the same time. Sure, there is a fast travel but it doesn't work on your favor. Like, to fast travel, you have to find specific NPC who can take you somewhere, and then you have to have specific amount of in-game currency to be able to pay for fast travel to even get to the destination that you want. And even then, those NPCs can't take you anywhere you want. They can only take you to a big locations that are marked by circles on your map. But if you want to travel to nearby stash near some bushes under the tree or to a location that is not marked on the map, then you can't fast travel to there. So yeah, get ready to walk for too long on foot for hours, while doing quests that you have no idea how to beat without a guide from internet, while dealing with frustration and anxiety.
And third thing that I don't like about this game is the upgrade system. Like, in Clear Sky to upgrade your weapon or armor you don't have to wait too long. You can just get to the technician and do the thing. But in Call of Pripyat you have to talk to the technician that will tell you, that he needs instruments and parts to be able to do a certain modification. And then he will send you to find it somewhere on abandoned warehouse and you have to walk across the map to find those details that, most of the time, are not even displayed on the map in the first place. And you have to look for them, then bring those parts and instruments to the technician, who will ask you to bring even more parts because those that you just brought was not enough, and so the walk back and fourth continues. Sure, there is few things that you can upgrade from the start but those are not enough to make your armor or weapon fully upgraded to your needs. Then add two previous game design flaws on top of this one, and.. why do you even have to play this game in the first place if it's not fun and so much frustrating???
Yes, back in the days as a teenager I didn't hated this game and I played and had fun despite the fact that I never completed any side quest ever, outside of few thanks to one of my friends back then. But now, as adult this game is just frustrating for me. Also yes, there is parts that I enjoy about this game, but for the most part I ended up quitting the game simply because I was either bored or frustrated by it. And before you ask, yes I forgot most of this game since I didn't played it for years and years. But what confuses me the most is that many gamers called this game the best in the series. And so after replaying it after a long time I don't understand, how can someone call it "the best game in the series" when clearly it has such a big game design flaws? So yeah, as a teenager I loved this game but as adult, I just don't like it anymore. Thus my favorite S.T.A.L.K.E.R game is Shadow of Chernobyl. Sure, it's not a perfect game too but it has less frustrating and boring moments unlike Clear Sky or especially Call of Pripyat.

Okay, so recently there was announcement of new Ninja Gaiden game, which is Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound that will return to classic 2D action platformer genre. Now, I'm not a fan of Ninja Gaiden cause I never played OG games back in the days, but I played them later via emulation. I played original NES trilogy, played Arcade version, played SNES ports, tried Master System version (I believe) and SNES ports. And from more modern ones I played Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, which I didn't liked but that's another story. So I have a very good idea what Ninja Gaiden 2D game should be like.
So, after watching a trailer for Ninja Gaiden Ragebound I can say that, I didn't saw anything from Ninja Gaiden in it at all. It just looks like some kind of metroidvania with a mix of games like Strider, Castlevania and some other games. And then, as it turned out that, you will not even play as main protagonist of the whole series, which is Ryu Hayabusa. You will play as some guy who is a random clan member from Ryu's clan that I even forgot the name of and that look like a Strider Hiryu for some reason. If you don't know who that is then google it.
Sure, it looks cool in the trailer but will it be good as a game? I don't know, but it's not a Ninja Gaiden as we know it. And no, I don't mean a 3D action game, I mean actual 2D Ninja Gaiden game. It doesn't feel like one even from the trailer. But they could do a proper Ninja Gaiden game with actual original art style and that would be great. Also, why let players to play as someone else if you have Ryu Hayabusa? Yes, for the variety sake it's cool but why make new protagonist look like a generic hollywood ninja? Why not make him look unique like OG developers did with Ryu, who now has a black suit instead of generic blue one? I don't understand this trend.
In conclusion I will say that, this is gonna probably be another 2D platformer game with popular name just to make some money. But we will see. If it's gonna be good then fine, if not then I will not be surprised, but my hopes are for the best. Cause "the best" is what our world lacks right now.

Okay, so here is a new hot take from me that will get some heat. And it's about Invincible show. But to start my hot take I wanna you, whoever read this post, answer me a question: why call a character "Invincible" when he loses every single fight that he ever had, gets beaten to death and nearly killed? What's the damn point?? And before you ask, no I did not read the comic books. But I researched the source material after watching first season of this show back when it dropped and.. well, with new season of the show coming up, from what I understand from comic books, it's gonna get even worse for Mark aka Invincible. As if previous season of this show was not enough of a humiliation for him already.
So yeah, I don't understand this show and thus I don't like it. I tried to watch second season but I got bored, confused and disgusted too quickly by it. Not because of how brutal it is, cause I got used to brutal stuff like that, but because it doesn't stand to it's name. And even in the comic books, Mark or Invincible barely wins any fights. So my point and my question are still stands. Why call him "Invincible" when he is not? What's the frigging point??
The reason why I even watched whole first season was because of Omniman. He was cool. Other heroes was kinda cool too, I guess, but they were a bunch of parody knock-offs of popular existing characters, like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man and so on. Thus here is another question: why not make your own unique likable superhero character instead of making a parody that looks silly and appeals only to some people and not everyone? I'm sure that many people can do it, so what's the excuse in case with "Invincible"? I don't understand it.
So in conclusion I will say that I will not watch new season of this show because, from what I understand from my research, it's gonna get even worse for "Invincible" and I don't like that. Yes, I prefer stereotypical always winning, never losing, superhero characters over those that got nearly killed or beaten to near death. Simply because I grew up watching superheroes like that. And because that is who they are. They are heroes. And heroes should always win. That is how I see it and always will. Heroes like Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Nightman etc. Yes, there were moments when those heroes got beaten too, but mostly they were winning. And that is cool enough for me. Which is what NOT cool in case with "Invincible" in my book because he was not winning and mostly losing frigging HARD. So yeah, I rather rewatch good old Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows than this "Invincible" BS. You can agree with me or disagree, I don't care, unless you try to be rude and offensive. But I will stand by my opinion that states that, Invincible is a bunch of copycat BS, because: 1. It doesn't stand to it's name. 2. It copies and parodies existing popular characters, instead of making new ones. And 3. It is just a mess with gore p0rn for no reason and main protagonist always losing TWO seasons in a row. And this new one ain't gonna be any different I'm sure of it.
4 - 6
Okay, so after replaying S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Clear Sky after like 10 years maybe, despite whatever I said in my previous post, I kinda understand now why people don't like this game. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good game for the most part but there is things that makes me question GSC's game design. Like your armor/suit durability. It breaks very quickly and if it happened during some quest that you have been on doing, you can't find a mechanic and pay him to repair your armor. You have to backtrack all the way to the base of any stalker faction, just to find the person who can fix your armor and then return back to do your quest. And that is very annoying, boring and frustrating. Sure, you can upgrade your armor to make it more durable but even that doesn't help much.
Then the main quests. Most of them are very annoying. Like VERY! Because enemies a literally spawn before you and you can't even react in time and you get taken out by them. Like zombies near the scientists research facility. You can't even take a break for a minute, because they gonna spawn right in front of you or just behind the next corner, leaving you no choice for the reaction even on easiest difficulty. Same with later missions in Red Forest, Limansk or near Chernobyl Power Plant. On those locations enemies are so annoying that it is impossible to not rage quit. Especially on Limansk location, where you can't even see who's shooting you, because enemies blend in with the buildings or crates and all that makes it look like you were killed by a crate or a wall.
And last but not least is the economy system. You can't just buy whatever you want, upgrade or sell something for a good price to later get some in-game currency to upgrade your armor or weapons, because everything is expensive over the top. And I'm not talking about microtransactions, because there is none of that crap in here. I'm talking about in-game money that you earn via doing quests or selling items to other characters. You have to grind the hell out of this game to be able to upgrade or buy anything in this game.
Outside of that there is few other things that makes me pissed about this game. Like the anomalies been almost every time under your feet. I mean, you can't do even one step without getting stuck in some kind of anomaly that will kill you and you will have to restart either via your save file or, if you did not saved, from the beginning of the game. That's right, despite showing a auto save icon, this game does not have any auto save feature. So you better spam that save button like there is no tomorrow, if you don't want to restart whole game.
And yes, I played the latest version of the game, which is 1.5.10, despite the fact that I have a physical licensed version of this game on a disc under a number of 1.5.0. So yeah, back when I played my licensed version when it came out, I didn't noticed any of this stuff, outside of maybe a difficulty spike on the Limansk location. So playing version 1.5.10 kinda surprised me because, I remember beating this game without any problems. While now I have a lots of problems with this game. Thus now I understand why people say that this one is the worst game in S.T.A.L.K.E.R series.

Here is a underrated game, in my opinion, that many people see as the weakest of all of them in the series. And I'm talking about S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Clear Sky. It's a prequel to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl game story wise, where you play as a new protagonist called Scar, who ended up on a swamps after he got cut by emission while leading some scientist to their destination. And he was rescued by the new group of stalkers called Clear Sky, who tries to study the zone to prevent those dangerous emissions from happening.
And despite the fact that most of the people see this game as the weakest in the series, in my opinion this is a great game in terms of gameplay. Because, in comparison to original game, it has smooth animations, new features for that time, like possibility of upgrading your weapons or armor by delivering it to technicians that you can find in almost any group of stalkers. And then in this game devs fixed a weight problem that in original game was a pain in the butt, and because of which you could not carry many stuff with you. And then, outside of the gameplay this game has improved visuals and new locations to visit, such as Swamps, Red Forest and Limansk. And then the old locations got reworked a bit to have different stuff on them and make exploration unique to this game.
There is a lot of improvements to this game in comparison to the first one. The only problem that this game has is the optimization. Even back in the days when it was first released, this game had a massive issues with optimization. Sure, it got fixed almost right away but these days this problem returned back again, simply because of compatibility issues with modern versions of Windows. So this game may even lag on powerful hardware because it was not made for it in mind. But outside of that, this game doesn't have serious problems. On Windows 10 I managed to make it work by simply lowering down the screen resolution to 720p. Sure, the image is now less clearer but I have a better performance.
So yeah, S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Clear Sky is a underrated game that deserves a second chance. Sure, it's not a perfect game, none of the games is, especially these days, but it's a better S.T.A.L.K.E.R game in comparison to Shadow of Chernobyl in my opinion. It have everything improved and gameplay got even better, and yet people don't like it for some reason. And nobody can give you consistent reason for why they don't like the game. I watched many reviews of this game, and all of the people saying different things but there is no consistency in their words. Go figure!
