Hi, I’m Amber—an ecological gardener, forager, and maker, living slowly with the seasons in rural Ontario.
With my family of five, I’m reviving a neglected property, growing and raising our own food, foraging and preserving the harvest, and making from scratch—all with grit, creativity, and a deep respect for the land. Our life is imperfect and unhurried; we do what we can with what we have.
I believe in stacking functions, low waste, cutting consumption, and responding creatively to an uncertain future—nurturing both resilience and community sufficiency. I’m crafting a seasonal life rooted in regenerative practices and old-world skills, one that resists consumer culture and honors the wisdom of slow living.
I hope this space inspires you to embrace simplicity, slow down, and explore a more sustainable way of being.
