This course teaches students how to plan and build a photovoltaic (PV) system in accordance with design criteria using substation equipment. Solar PV systems and substations may be installed in residential, small, medium, and large-scale applications, and this course teaches students how to choose the best sites for both. Among the topics covered in the course are mechanical and electrical design, load, efficiency, and mechanical and electrical design.
