About
We are a student-run not-for-profit production company from Villanova University. We travelled to Ghana for 2 weeks and spent countless weeks filming in Philadelphia to create our film, Sankofa. By exploring the complexities and parallels between the United States and Ghana, this documentary explores loss of identity and its negative systemic impact on individuals around the world.
Sankofa was the Gold Medalist at the 2019 Student Academy Awards in the Domestic Documentary Category.
